What a pleasant surprise this place was!

We came here mostly because I was nostalgic and had positive memories from TGIF during my younger years in the US, so I didn't really expect much going in besides mediocre food and an American vibe, and was mostly looking forward to some appetizers and a decent time.

I was so very wrong, we had an AMAZING time.

First of all, the staff were great. Our waiter (my apologies for not remembering the name) was super super nice, and on top of everything with great suggestions and service.

The food was such a surprise! We took a couple of appetizers and the burnt pork ends dish, it was delicious and the portions were huge.

Lastly, the atmosphere was insane. We were lucky enough to visit on a Sunday, and they had Karaoke night, so much fun. The host was hilarious (even though I didn't understand most of what he said) and the performances were great. One dude sang Nirvana and I was blown away.

I very much recommend visiting here if you're looking for something different on one of your nights in Athens, and are craving some American food.

Based in the heart of Athens center, surrounded by restaurants and lots of stores I bumped into TGI Friday’s. I didn’t dine there immediately it wasn’t until a couple days later I got the opportunity to dine. Let me say it was the best. The food was fresh. The customer service was grand. I’m from the states and over here TGI Friday’s isn’t even worth going to these days. But the team (Chris and Francesca) is the dynamic duo. The waiter that we had is known for his work and his spenders adorned in pins signifying his accomplishments was proof that’s he’s great at what he does. I had mozzarella sticks and Buffalo wings. When the wings were coming out I noticed Chris told the other lady to bring it back and then Francesca got involved. When it finally was placed before me I had asked my waiter what was wrong with it. He simply said there wasn’t enough sauce so I asked the kitchen to drizzle some on there. That showed me their attention to detail and their dedication to the TGI Friday standards. My husband and I went for dinner we were seated right away our server had horrible customer service. After we sat down she brought over water and walked away didn't even ask if we wanted anything else to drink. After 10 minutes I had to get her attention just for an appetizer. I asked for chips and guacamole and she didn't even let me finish or ask if there was anything else just walked away.😑 after receiving our appetizer we waited another 15-20 minutes to give our food order. Which I also had to grab her attention.

She barely smiled or said a word to us. We regretted eating there she killed the vibe! The food was bland and service sucked!! I'm not sire if she was just having a bad day but her energy was definitely not welcoming
