STAY AWAY!!!! Especially people of color. I wanted to report this restaurant to the governing body that handles food/hospitality in Athens, but all this happened the day before I flew out.
The sad part is that this restaurant was connected to the hotel I stayed at in Athens, and the hotel was amazing.
Food: it was a string 7/10.
Service: horrible! There was a little boy who was a waiter who was extremely rude and decided to talk down to us, maybe because we are people of color, and he somehow thinks he's better than us 😂. He wasn't even our waiter, I was actually rather polite.
I ordered a Caesar salad and vegetarian pasta. I didn't realize the salad had chicken. Once I saw the chicken, I asked that the salad be taken away, and this was where all the problems began. I guess because of€15, the staff and management would rather risk the health of a human being.
When the guy I picked up the salad, he was quick to retort that all Caesar salads come with chicken. To which we responded, that was not true. Typically, you get a salad, and you can add whatever protein you want to it. Instead of this human being to walk away, he kept trying to prove a point and was completely rude. I had to caution him not to speak to me rudely.
When the final bill was brought, I noticed that the salad was still on the bill. I pointed out to the waiter that I sent the salad back to the kitchen. They insisted I get the salad or order something else. Everything in me said to refuse and walk away, but I obliged to get a new salad made without chicken. I didn't want to be confrontation or make an issue over a measly €15 but that's my personal problem, and we should have stood out ground and demanded a refund. I complained to the manager, who just stared at me and said or did nothing.
This salad was made and packed for me to go. Despite all my apprehension, I ate it a couple hours later and, not even ten minutes after my lip swole up. The complete slap in my face was when I went back downstairs to show the manager my lip. He completely dismissed me once again and made a comment of "oh, so many problems today." No apology, no concern, nothing.
The next morning as I was flying out, my lip was still a bit swollen. I learned my lesson... speak up and say no especially when people...
Read moreI and my family were looking for some traditional greek cuisine when visiting Athens, we decided to eat at Greco's because it was right on the main street and the food on the banners was good looking. We were nicely surprised to see how proffesional the waiters were and how chill the atmosphere was. Right as we entered, we were offered some water and after ordering, we did not even have to wait for long. The food was delicious and full of local flavors and spices. Huge shoutout goes to our waiter Alket, who not only reccommended us a great dish, but also gave us a homemade dessert and a shot of Ouzo as we were paying. Eating here was so good, we even had to return the next day! The only downside of this restaurant is the prices of beverages, besides that it was a great experience and everyone from our family would...
Read moreCan’t express how rude Christina at the entrance is. I asked her for a table of 3 for my family and she said she doesn’t have any while there was a table available in the corner. I pointed the table to her and she said that’s a table for 6 only and unless we are 6 we can’t sit. Only to find out 5 minutes later giving the table to another family of 3. Dishonesty and rudeness is the least I can say about her behavior. The food was average and overpriced for the service. I can’t understand how the management employs such a poor quality staff in the front row that doesn’t have the minimum decency and respect required to deal with customers. I recommend another restaurant 2 steps away, Palmie Bistro, which has excellent ambiance, excellent food and decent and...
