An Absolute Gem in Chania’s Old Port!

Aroma is hands down one of the best spots in Chania for brunch and drinks. Tucked away in the charming Old Port, it offers a perfect mix of relaxing atmosphere, warm hospitality, and truly delicious food.

The brunch menu is outstanding — everything is fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The eggs benedict were perfectly poached, the pancakes fluffy and rich, and the local twists on classic dishes really stood out. You can tell they put care into every plate.

Their drink selection is just as impressive. From fresh-squeezed juices and specialty coffees to creative cocktails and local wines, there’s something for every taste. I especially loved their iced coffee and the refreshing spritzes — ideal for a sunny morning by the sea.

The setting is peaceful, with beautiful views of the harbor, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Whether you’re starting your day or taking a break from exploring, Aroma is a must-visit. I can’t wait...

One of the Best Dining Experiences in Chania! 🌟🫶🏻

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Aroma, and it was truly one of the most delicious meals we’ve had in Chania — possibly the best! Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with love and care.

What made the experience even more memorable was the incredible service. Anastasia, our waitress, was simply amazing. She brought such warmth and positive energy to our evening — the vibe she created made everything feel perfect. She’s the kind of person who turns a great meal into an unforgettable experience.

And Ervin was also such a kind and genuine person.

You can feel that the people here truly care about what they do, and it shows in every moment.

Aroma isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. If you’re in Chania, do yourself a favor and come here. You’ll leave with a full heart and a very happy stomach!

Greetings from Donita and the 3 other girls — thank you for making our night...

From my favorite place to go when i need some place to feel well has become the worst service and direction ive ever seen. They are very rude first of all, there are like 8 people there are and they are all rude. The prices are through the roof with the new catalogue which is belittling even to tourists who are welcomed to spend a bit more since they dont know the places well. My friend ordered a soda and they brought a juice from the box which they didnt want to change after he told them that they were wrong. I ate something which was okay even though its price which is unmatchable so high to everywhere else and they didnt even bring water, so i ordered water which they charged without alerting us and then they brought another water without our permission which they charged as well. Hope you drown guys in the port, shame on everyone there and the direction from going to such a friendly place to this amalgam of rudeness, humiliation and...

Sensational food and drink is just the tip of the iceberg here. The atmosphere is perfect, chill and cool in both senses of the words - a wonderful asset to counter the backdrop of the blistering but gorgeous port. The staff were beyond helpful. A group of six ghastly British tourists such as ourselves were easily welcomed and made to feel as such swiftly. The drinks on offer were exquisite, our small group ordering a wide range from the menu including beers, sangrias, iced teas and iced coffees. The food as above was immaculate. From presentation to taste, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We ordered salads, pastas, authentic Greek dishes and even a banana split to conclude. Without question, a highlight dining experience for our time in Crete. Easily a recommendation for any in the area and easily a return visit guaranteed when we find ourselves back in Chania. Thank you very much :)

This was a nice place to relax and watch the world pass by. The guy at the bar and the young lady serving were friendly and hospitable. Unfortunately the older lady serving needs to improve. We were pushed for time as had a long journey to make so after trying to catch her a few times to pay the bill, having sat with empty glasses for some time I eventually approached her when she had finished chatting to someone to ask to pay the bill. She was rather abrupt and said she'd sort it, then started wiping tables and doing various other tasks. I'd had enough by this point and fortunately realised I had enough cash just to leave it and go. Also, the "happy hour" advertised doesn't appear to be kept to as we were charged more than advertised. It's a shame as its in a nice place. I'd recommend avoiding this place.
