Exceptional dinner experience on Hydra – authentic, elegant, unforgettable! We had one of the best meals of our trip here. Every single dish was a highlight! We started with a beautifully refined Tarama — smooth, creamy fish roe dip, topped with bright red roe, a caper leaf, herb oil, and a crunchy slice of artisan bread. It was a sophisticated take on a Greek classic. For the main course, we enjoyed a perfectly grilled Dentex (Zahnbrasse). It was expertly filleted, tender and juicy, with that wonderful fresh-from-the-sea flavor. The highlight, though, was the lobster pasta — rich, flavorful sauce, al dente pasta, and generous pieces of lobster tail. Absolute perfection. Warm, friendly, and professional. The staff explained every dish with passion and made us feel like honored guests. Charming Hydra setting, cozy and tasteful, with soft lighting and the peaceful sound of the sea nearby. Pure magic. Second best restaurant in Hydra in my opinion, after Sunset. The food was an interesting twist on typical Greek tavern fare, prepared well and with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is lacking a bit, as the main view from the tables consists of whatever boat is moored in front of view (could be a modern catamaran or a 1970s transport vessel) We liked two dishes in particular: the saganaki (fried cheese) made with Metsovone, a smoked aged Gouda-style cheese from Metsovo; and the Grouper kabob (which is normally made from lamb and beef but this fish version was exceptionally seasoned and cooked)

If you’re looking for an authentic Hydra experience look no further. Situated in the port it has an amazing sea front sunset view and vibe. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Then we get on to the food and I’m searching for words that do it justice. Classic Greek cuisine done in a truly modern way. Everything is so extremely fresh and well prepared.
