This place is the real-deal. Best value for money in this town, by far. Amazing selection of food cooked by Pagona. She has a few dishes she cooks almost every day and the rest of the menu is random. Fried-pork meatballs, mousaka, chicken burgers seafood orzo and beef soup TO DIE FOR. They’ve always got yummy vegetarian options as well. 99% locals eating here. No tourist-trap bull. Family owned restaurant, owned by smiling people who love good food. A true hidden gem in the middle of Rethymno!

Stopped here with my family as we dragged our luggage across town from the bus stop to our hotel and I’m so glad we did. Such friendly people and no-fuss but delicious food. We had the moussaka, beef pasta and stuffed vegetables, which we all loved, even the kids! Definitely recommend, all up it was only €36 to feed all five of us and we were even given a free dessert.
