This "original" Italian restaurant takes the Italian way of eating literally. Accordingly, the portion sizes are different from other restaurants that cook Italian cuisine for non-Italians. The pasta dishes here are purely intermediate courses. The portion sizes would be described as "starter" sizes in other restaurants. A price range of between 16 and 22 euros for these small portions can safely be described as overpriced. Unfortunately, there is no indication (for non Italians) on the menu that the dishes are only very small and not meant to be main courses. So if you don't want to enjoy a full 4 to 5 course menu in the evening, you'll leave the place pretty hungry.

The pasta dishes we ordered all had great originality and were special. Unfortunately, they all had a certain flaw. The chef on duty had obviously not taken into consideration that the saltiness and acidity of different products can vary greatly and had accepted the quantities given in the original recipe uncritically and without scrutinising the end result. The spaghetti carbonara was made according to the original Italian recipe, i.e. without cream or cooked ham, but with guanciale instead of panzetta. Only the extreme saltiness was off-putting. The squid ink tagliatelle fricassee with salmon and lime sauce was tasty, but also salty and very sour. Unfortunately, the Casarecce The Italian Diva also stood out due to its intense salt content. We then decided to forego another course in this restaurant and enjoyed it elsewhere. We recommend that guests who are not Italian and don't want to eat a 4 - 5 course meal in the evening should also be offered portion sizes for the intermediate courses that are more or less filling.

The staff are surprisingly reserved for an Italian restaurant. It is therefore easy to leave the restaurant after one course.

Nevertheless, the 3 stars are awarded because the restaurant is very tastefully and stylishly furnished.

If you want to enjoy a typical Italian dinner with several courses in Greece, this is the place for you. However, it should be noted that reduced-salt food is preferred in order to restrain the chef...

You feel that the whole staff values the food that they proudly offer.

If you come in, you´ll receive a small and promising menu — always a great sign of a professional restaurant.

It feels modern without the sometimes sterile feel those hip and chic places have.

This place has character. And if you´re lucky, you´ll listen to some classics of the 60´s and 70´s — Cream, Funkadelic etc.

You´ll notice that the staff is personable, down to earth and most importantly: warm and welcoming.

About the food:

It was extraordinarly delicious and surprisingly affordable for the high quality you experience. Everything was spot on and perfectly cooked, even if didn´t hit my personal taste 100 % (ate there around 20 times).

I grew up around great food, so sadly, it´s difficult to please me. Being a remote worker, having been in over 40 countries and passionate cook myself, I can confidently say that this restaurant belongs to my best experiences.

If it´s your first time, I´d suggest you to try out one of the following:

Parpadelle Ragou — My Nr 1#

Pizza Melanzane — The parmesan creme is brilliant — ask for spicy oil!

Seafood Pasta — Really great choice

Hope you´ll have a good time there — I...

Unfortunately didn’t have a good experience here. Came on 01/10, said they had a few items off the menu but didn’t say what. Ordered off the mains, said none of the mains were available, would’ve been easier just to say that first. Ordered a pasta dish, also unavailable. Asked if they could do me a starter as a main, wouldn’t, asked if I could have a side salad with my starter, wouldn’t do that either. Left hungry. Portions of pasta & salad were poor. Pizza was only thing out of our group of 4 that was any good. It wouldn’t have taken a lot for them to make a small salad as a side to compensate for the fact they were out of all other food. We’re happy to pay for extras but to just not work with us was a huge let down & massive disappointment from the service...

OH MY GODD!! This food was absolutely insaneeee I don't even know where to begin!! We started with the caprese salad which was absolutely delicious, seasoned to perfection the pesto was amazing. Then had the burratino pizza and the eggplant gnocchi which was unlike anything I've tasted before the sauce was so sweet and flavoursome - the pesto is to die for honestly. Staff were very friendly and attentive I am definitely visiting again!! If you're covid conscious go around 4-6pm time it's very quiet :)) As a vegetarian there were plenty of options for me.

We visited many restaurants in Greece but none of them compared to the incredible food & service we experienced at Pan & Vino Restaurant in downtown Rhodes. So much so that we went to eat there 3 times. Every dish we tried was excellent and the service was impeccable. The attention to detail was extraordinary and the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. A MUST TRY if you’re in Rhodes, and worth the trip if you’re not. 5 ⭐️’s from A-Z….cannot wait to go back!
