-Introduction I went on an August night with my girlfriend to dine and taste a completely vegan menu -Cons We ordered Israeli hummus and we were shocked with the following fact,it had only one pitta bread! For me its laughable that u pay 7,5€ and you only get one pitta,of course we asked for a second one and got charged extra 2€.For me its a serious issue and they should either cut down the hummus portion by 50% because too much hummus is leftover after fully filling and eating one pitta or charge 9,5€ and have 2 pitta breads. Its sad that this fact alone took away from the shine of the rest menu and night. -pros The mushroom ravioli was cooked to perfection and it was so flavourful, the texture and the humidity were also great. The coconut curry had perfect boil and the balance between the herbs, the corniflower and the onion was on point! The burger was decent but I cannot judge because i am not accustomed eating pâté of vegetables instead of beef.We also tried the desserts of the days which consisted of bitter brownie with caramel ice cream and the vegan tiramisu. The brownie was indeed bitter but if you tasted it with a bit of ice cream it had a great taste. The ice-cream itself was brilliant. The tiramisu on the other hand it was too plain for my taste but considering it had no mascarpone it was a nice try.Overall it was a nice experience and definitely it deserves a visit for what it has to offer for...
Read moreWe visited ONO 2 times in total during our stay.
The first one unfortunately was utterly disappointing for me as I seemed to have ordered the singular bad item on the menu. The protein bean salad.
As it can be seen in the picture it is litteraly a pre-made salad from the super market plus red beans, black eyed peas, chickpeas and oil. Honestly I was shocked by the lack of creativity, flavor and effort in this dish. It really reflects badly on the entire restaurant to have such a plain, tasteless dish for 9.80€ and I felt genuine FOMO for not ordering litteraly anything else.
The next time we went it was a totally different experience for me! All the dishes were flavorful, creative and filling and we had a great time!
I really would suggest this place if you’re in Rhodes, the atmosphere is great and there are many amazing menu options! The crunchy potatoes and ravioli with sweet potato and pumpkin were also delicious! (We ordered them alongside the salad)
I don’t want this to be taken negatively by any means, I just urge Marouli to please upgrade this salad or remove it from the menu as it is a disgrace to the entire restaurant...
Read moreWe had been looking forward to this visit for days as it seemed to be the only vegetarian/ vegan restaurant in Rhodes but we were not impressed.
We ordered two burgers- the texture was extremely soggy and dripping with mayo- it was lathered on the top and bottom to the point we had to use a knife and fork to eat it, the lettuce was soggy and had zero crunch. The chips were so dry I couldn’t even put my fork in them without them snapping so ended up leaving half of them and half of my burger.
None of the staff checked in on us during our meal and we waited quite a while for them to clear our plates. When I expressed I wasn’t very happy with the quality of the meal the waitress said, “Why didn’t you say I could have changed it?”, but at no point had anyone checked if it was ok. She was lovely and felt bad but it’s a given you should check in with your customers during their meal to make sure it is up to standard.
The manager did come out and offer us a desert or tea and coffee but we were so hot after a long morning we just wanted to go home. No money was taken off of our bill and we left thoroughly...
