don't don't know where to start! This is a lengthy review as I feel everything has to be shared. I left home in Lancaster at 1pm to fly from Glasgow Airport with family. From when we arrived at 1.30 am and checked in it was now around 2 am. We asked if there was any water to which we were advised.." the bar is closed but there's a shop across the road". We were shocked as usually there's water in the room in 4 star hotel and snacks ,in my experience anyway. The streets were packed with younger ones drunk ,obviously having a great time but quite intimidating and nit what you need after over 12 hours of travelling. My room was a single occupants, it was tiny ,dirty and dark and in a corner enclosure facing the back of 2 buildings. (Photos below). I didn't want to make a fuss as I just wanted to enjoy my time. The room continued to be inadequately cleaned. The shower tray drainage then built up so much grime it blocked. I then had to address with receptionist. I was assured it would be cleaned .It was a bit better but the room was still filthy. I spoke to manager Michael who then advised it would be sorted again &would treat us at the bar later! When I returned I was shocked to find dirty footprints all over ,even in the tray! Hairs and dirt in every corner of the room. I spoke to the jet2 advisor who I had only seen on my 3rd day, he said he was there but I didn't see himeven though he sat in middle of the main room... strange! I was moved to a 'deluxe room' which I personaly would say was a 3 star. I was extremely grateful to be in a light clean. The noise began, i was awake til 6am . Right beside the hotel is the main drag with all the young ones. The maid was so pleasant which was lovely as the cleaner on the 2nd floor with blonde hair couldn't even look at me and sighed when I asked for milk to have a coffee the first morning. Her attitude was a shock and a bit sad because reviews said how lovely the cleaners were. She certainly wasn't happy in her job.Angry lady! We were going out& had a bus tocatch so I packed all my things really quickly and I forgot my shirt I had put over the window with large beach towel pegs & trousers for travelling back in a small high cupboard and 6 bottles of water. Aswe had a bus to catch & rushing I told receptionist manager, she got on the phone & arranged for them to get moved. When I returned my shirt & trousers weren't there or the pegs. The water & a small vest top i missed were.I told receptionist Angela and Stella who said "if they were in the room I would clearly have gotten them back" I was stunned! The manager told me she'd check. Numerous times I was told they might be in with the laundry or lost and theyd check &the house maid manager moved everything herself? She clearly couldn't see them because they were out of sight. I know where my things went and I will leave you to decide what you think. They did not fall down as the pegs held firmly for 6 days prior & it would have been seen on the small building below. I was made out to be a liar. There was no apology or empathy when I was clearly upset. I spoke to Michael the manager who said he couldn't understand what happened to them& he'd check. He avoided me later so I approached him . He told me.. sorry I couldn't find them. I replied then, theyv been stolen. He shrugged his shoulders& said what can I do,sorry I spoke to the man from jet2 about my experience &his response was" it's the hotel& not jet2 who deals with it" He proceeded to tell me in all his years nothing had been stolen from the hotel &all reviews were excellent. I chose the hotel for its good reviews this is why it ruined my stay & left me devastated at how I was made out to be lying by receptionists. Angela, Stella &her terrible attitude towards me..she might have well said, you're lying. Manager Michael is lovely but his way of dealing with problems is to get you a drink at the bar &try his best to keep you happy but my holidaywasruined. The pool area is dismissal, no background music apparently some guests have complained.beach across rd is...
Read moreWe visited in Oct 2025. As others said the location is great, we paid extra for the sea view room and it was really lovely and definitely worth it. We had some great views of the gorgeous Rhodes sunsets from the balcony. Hotel itself is nicely presented downstairs, and we were greeted by a cat who the hotel receptionist informed us is called Stacey. She comes to visit the hotel most nights, and we do like cats so this was good for us!
Rooms were reasonably sized but awkwardly designed in places such as the chair under the desk that stuck out and I kept tripping over it trying to get past the edge of the bed, and there was nowhere else to sit inside but on the bed.
The shower was good, but there was no screen so water flooded the bathroom. There is a pane of clear glass in the bathroom corner so if you go in late at night the light shines through and can disturb your partners sleep.
The mini fridge was a nice touch but the seal kept coming out of our door and I had to keep pushing that back in.
Air con was good but we only figured out on the last day that it goes off when you open the balcony door (makes sense really) so we didn’t make as much use of it as we wanted. Didn’t have much space for clothes either, mine all got shoved into a shelf next to the desk. The bed we found was really uncomfortable.
Some of the towels were a bit scruffy, but they did change them each time they cleaned.
Some of the staff were friendly and helpful, mostly on reception, but the service for some in the bar or restaurant really let them down, as they seemed downright unhappy to have to serve or interact with us sometimes, like we were interrupting their chats with colleagues. On at least 4 occasions (or more) in the restaurant for evening meal we were not offered a drink at all and you are not supposed to take your own in, so we didn’t have one at all. I ended up taking my own bottle of water sometimes.
Additionally for the price we paid for half board, I would expect to not have to pay for water or juice or a cup of tea or coffee (at least one) - alcohol should be chargeable of course.
A lot of the time the tables were not set properly, in the morning for instance you generally had no cups, or just one cup - so had to ask for them, and for some reason 1 fork missing quite a lot. The English teabags kept disappearing as well.
They were almost always very quick at collecting your used plates, so that was good, but the staff generally just looked quite miserable and did not seem like they wanted to be there mostly. I appreciate it was near the end of the season and they will be tired but this is their job at the end of the day.
Breakfast was ok, usual continental buffet affair fresh omelette station was the best for me, but you could get cereal and some other cooked food or toast. Salad started off ok but seemed to get progressively worse over our stay so might be running that down as the season closes.
The evening food was typical buffet stuff but there was an awful lot of reuse of food, like how many things could you do with the potatoes each day, or dried up zucchini that kept coming back, looking drier each time.
There was not very much meat either, and what there was wasn’t the best quality. We really did get fed up of it towards the end as we were there almost 2 weeks.
We ate once from the lunch menu around the pool and that was actually really nice, as I had a nice Greek salad and a massive chicken burger.
The pool was cold, as confirmed by the brave souls that tried it but the pool area was nice and chilled, and clean. Although again you were not allowed to take your own drinks or snacks to the pool, and we did see the staff telling several guests about this multiple times.
Location wise it was about a 15 min walk to the Old Town and close to the local bars and restaurants. There is an onsite shop we used loads to buy bits and bobs which is quite well priced.
Overall it is a decent hotel in a great location, but not sure I would go back to this...
Read moreWe have just arrived, so it is a first impression. It could well change in 2 weeks time. A hotel with no young guests, read children. Now I love my own kids and my grandchildren, they were braught up to make no noise, not to run arround in places one shouldn't, but not all children are braught up this way, so it is great not to have that noisy lot arround. The hotel looks nice, als small pool, but good enough. The staff is very friendly, it all looks well taken care of. The rooms are nice, there is a fridge in the room and a nice balcon with a spectaculair view. The street is a bit noisy but if you keep the sliding door closed it is fine. The airco is good adjustable. Only the bathroom good do with an upgrade. Some more spots to hang your towels from and new silicone sealant as now it looks filthy. After posting this staff came snd painted the sealant, after just over 10 days the paint started to come off again. The restaurant looks fine, good variation of choices. Well prepared diner, but only not kept heated up enough, so you eat your food cold. That is fine with the salades, but not for the rest. Breakfast there is also a lot to choose from, but cakes are very dry. Yes there are improvements to be made, like no smoking in the poole area, heating food and bathroom cleaning. Spots of black mold, like behind the mirror snd thr sealent. All not all reason to stay away. After all it is a budget hotel. 3 night a week there is music. Live and dj. At the end of May it is becoming more crowded, there are queue's at the restaurant, be early. The room had no spoons, no glasses until a week later. Also the map with information came after a week, but because it being dirty we did not want to touch it. The staff is great, enough love there, but the owner or managers are grumpy and there is not much love towards the hotel. It is going downhill I guess. Drinks are not cheap, €9.- for a glass of rosé. €15.- for a bottle at the Magda supermarket, just 100 meters away. After diner there are a few choices in desert. After a week it gets boring. The icecream is not so great, but if you go to your right leaving the hotel, walk up the road 350 meters and you will find Ice Art with a great many choices, not expensive,€2.20 for a large scoop. The owner of the hotel should get his icecream there. There is a very nice walk along the sea: leaving the hotel, go towards the beach and go to your left along the boulevard. When the pavement stops after 500 meters or so, go down the stairs to the beach, go left and there is a nice path. Also go there when the sun is...
