The Sea Star deserves the 5 stars. I’m usually difficult to please when it comes to food, but the food here is truly excellent. During lunch time, the vibe isn’t so welcoming. When you are used to all the ushers trying to get you into their restaurants on the Main Street, the Sea Star almost looks hostile. We sat in a quaint garden and ordered: sea urchin salad, seafood spaghetti and grilled sea bream. Sea Urchin salad (it’s just sea urchin) was extremely fresh. With a dash of lemon, it was perfect. Seafood spaghetti was very delicious, with soft yet meaty octopus and squid, along with shellfish. The grilled sea bream didn’t need anything else other than the provided melted butter and lemon. Sure, the service isn’t the fastest. The food is presented with a little care, and there aren’t fancy gimmicks. This place isn’t for those who wish to fill up their Instagram feeds, but it is for those who wish to fill up their souls and stomachs. I read all the online reviews which were mainly positive and was looking forward to having a meal here. We were disappointed to the core. The service is too slow, you wait for a waiter to take your order first, and then we waited for about 30 mins for the order to arrive. My boyfriend got the order first and his meal was no longer warm! The waitress got the order wrong as well - I even showed her everything we wanted on the menu - she still brought a bottle of wine even after I specifically asked for a glass and she repeated it after me. She also got us a big bottle of water after I asked for the smallest one. The food was not that good, even if you try to bypass the fact that the meal was not warm. They are way to expensive for the service and food they are offering. The waiters are just all over the place and are not professional. We went there because it was recommended by our hotel but the angry looking waitress was kind of rude and very unpleasant. While we were having our food which was nice but nothing amazing, a few people came and ask for tables but she refused accepting any of them and said all the tables are booked. One person asked her that they just want to have a quick drink and she still refused to serve them, by the time we finished our meal which took about 40min no one came to sit in those tables that she said they’re “reserved”!! The whole time she was walking in the restaurant it looked like she’s angry and she kinda was bullying the other staff which made the whole atmosphere very unpleasant!
