The only positive aspects I can mention about this place are the comfortable sunbed, the music not being too loud, and I could also add the fact that there is plenty of staff, always attentive and ready to take your order. At the same time, you’re definitely paying for these conditions: €30 is the cheapest option starting from the 4th row, for 2 sunbeds, an umbrella, and a small table. Not to mention that you are warned not to drink water brought from outside — something I simply don’t understand and never will. I get that you want your business to succeed, but this absurd rule about water seems, once again, to be in poor taste.
Moreover, since neither the sunbeds nor the umbrella can be moved or adjusted in such a way as to provide shade to both sunbeds, the comfort level drops significantly. And for us, beach comfort also means having shade whenever we feel the need for it.
When we asked if we could change our spot, one of the waiters reacted with a passive-aggressive attitude. He didn’t even let me finish my question, talking over me constantly without listening, trying to convince me that the spot we were in was better. I didn’t argue with his opinion based on his experience, but I was deeply disturbed and disappointed by the attitude he took, especially since I was merely asking a question in order to ensure the conditions I was paying for.
He was so bothered by the fact that I dared to ask more questions that he actually told me I could leave if I wasn’t happy with the conditions. Even more, he said that he didn’t care about reviews regarding this beach — that they meant nothing to him since he owned the place.
Regarding the price-quality ratio of the services, I can’t say that the drink (since that’s all I ordered) is of such high quality that it would justify the high prices.
In conclusion, we will definitely not be returning to this place, and I’m writing this review strictly for informational purposes, so that other potential customers know what to expect.
For the way I was spoken to, I can only give 2 stars – not that these reviews matter anyway, so my rating shouldn’t bother...
Read moreAfter a full day on the beach, my son and I decided to have dinner here around 7 PM. At first, the experience started on a positive note. We approached a waiter who immediately recognized that we were Dutch and greeted us in his best Dutch, explaining that he has a Dutch uncle. That personal touch was really nice and made us feel welcome.
Unfortunately, the rest of the evening didn’t quite live up to that start. My son was very hungry, so we ordered quickly: water for him and a small Alfa beer for me (I was shocked because te small beer was €8,-). The water arrived promptly, but my beer never showed up. After waiting for about an hour (thinking it would come with the food), I finally asked. Turns out there was a printer issue. By that time, the restaurant was nearly empty, and there were several staff members around, so that was disappointing.
The food was okay, but definitely not worth the high prices (certainly not “Greek” prices). The bathroom is across the street, about 200 meters away, which was also inconvenient. We had to wait far too long for our food, and my son became understandably cranky.
The atmosphere is nice (kind of Ibiza lounge vibes) but with these prices, I would at least expect a live DJ or something to justify the cost. There wasn’t.
Overall, mixed feelings. Friendly waiter at the start, but service and value for money just didn’t match. No tip given, and honestly, I wouldn’t return. Next time, I’d rather go to a traditional Greek taverna with warm hospitality, good food, and...
Read moreThis beach bar offers nice sunbeds for 20 per pair with an umbrella. For the front row it is slightly more expensive but you get a towel to use. The sunbeds have thick padding so it is nice and comfortable. There is a waiter service for food and drinks. Being part of the beach bar, it does seem more exclusive especially when the sunbeds are for the same price. You do have use of toilet facilities and a nice shower, whereas you have to pay to use the toilets on the public beach.
The downside of being in this area is that you must order food and drinks from the bar which is at a premium price. As I did not fancy paying a premium, I bought amazing burgers from goody’s and ate it on a bench on the promenade by the entrance of the beach bar.
I did order premium milkshakes from the bar to be brought to our sunbeds. The photo of the milkshake looked very impressive and nice. Sadly when it was bought out, it looks more like what you make from home (see photo). It was completely different to the picture. To be fair, it did taste nice. Most possibly because the sweetness and we were chilled. I am glad I did not order the food.
Another downside of staying is this private area of the beach, if you want a back massage you have to use designated masseuse which charge 40 for half an hour as opposed to one’s that operates 50 feet from us and charge 25.
Overall, this is a nice place and we did have a nice day. Service was friendly and the atmosphere good. Whether I would get some bed from here again, I...
