Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Money

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The prices suggest a certain level of quality, but unfortunately, both the food and the service fell far below expectations.

We had to wait far too long for our food, even though the restaurant was not busy. When the food finally arrived, the kebab plate was clearly made with pre-packaged meat, grilled in an electric oven – nothing fresh or homemade about it. The meat was dry and lacked flavor.

The fries were clearly frozen and not made from fresh potatoes – another disappointment, especially at this price level.

We also tried the falafel, which was dry, tasteless, and poorly cooked. It did not feel fresh at all.

Worst of all, both of us had stomach pain after eating. That alone speaks volumes about the food quality and hygiene standards.

The service was just as poor – slow, inattentive, and lacking any form of customer care. No apology for the long wait, and no one asked if the food was okay.

Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I do not recommend this restaurant under any circumstances. There are far better places that serve fresh food, care about their customers, and actually deliver what they charge for.

Price in total 43 euro (one plate of falafel, one fries, one kebab plate and 2 small...

Reason for 2 stars was due to listing to I presume the manager or owner.. Complete idiot spoke to staff in a very disrespectful manner in front of customers and was acting like he was some big time guy but the reality of it is you own a small back street snack bar. When I asked him a question he spoke to me like he was too good to speak to anyone..

Lesson for the future never be disrespectful to people who work for you and always treat your customers with respect I'm sure your mummy or daddy or someone must have told you that before.

And just for the record Mr Big time snack bar owner if I wanted to I could buy your little snack bar and turn it into a ping pong club!! just for the fun of it and it wouldn't even sent my bank balance.

Hopefully your staff will find a better place to work one day.

Very disappointing experience at Zaytouna. We ordered two chicken gyros to go, and ended up waiting over an hour — completely unacceptable for takeout.

Even worse, the two gyros weren’t ready at the same time, so we had to wait again after getting the first one. And to top it all off, the second gyro was made with pork, even though we clearly asked for chicken.

That’s a serious mistake — especially when it comes to meat, which can have important religious, dietary, or personal implications. No apology, no compensation, no accountability.

We had heard good things about this place, but this experience was a real letdown. Definitely not...
