The service at the place was excellent and both the layout and design are quite appealing, no row (i.e. blaring musing), and importantly the establishment is smoke-free. Upon arrival we were seated almost immediately and ordered coffees and juice which came within 5 minutes. After this we proceeded to our brunch which consisted of the two-person platter Paco Loco consisting of eggs, sausages, bacon, bacon jam, cheese, pancakes, and a salad with a lemon vinaigrette and avocado(which had in fact not been stored properly), the kadaifi, a salmon bagel, and a stack of lemon-berry pancakes (can’t quite remember the exact name of it). Presentation wise things looked quite appealing on the surface, the portions seemed fair, and they seemed to be made to order. Out of all the dishes the salmon bagel was the soundest and tastiest of everything. The kadaifi was underwhelming to say the least as it was extremely oily and somewhat burnt. Regarding the Paco Loco dish. The positive: The bacon jam was quite good The silver dollar pancakes were also tasty yet weren’t sufficient to make little stuffed crepes for the whole dish. (so, it’s both positive and negative) The sausage was delicious The negative: The bacon was significantly under-cooked The avocado in the salad was blackened, hard, and had a funny taste The scrambled eggs were far from scrambled. They had congealed into a “harder” mass making the eggs more like a broken omelet than scrambled eggs. Regarding the pancakes the combination and size was good. Quite a tart/tangy taste in the “sauce” and topping, but that’s what we were going for. The pancakes themselves were somewhat floury and quite flavorless. This can be remedied by ensuring every bite you have is covered in the topping/ cream sauce. The coffee was decent. The fresh juice / smoothie was a mix of various fruits and was bland. It almost tasted like it was 50% juice and 50% water or something. The total bill rang up a total of around EUR 50, so it doesn’t break the bank, but for the same money there are much better options. The establishment’s saving graces were a. the service and b. the ambience. It was quite disappointing because picture wise and review wise I had built the place up in my head and expected a good meal, and I got something...

I had a rather disappointing visit to this brunch restaurant this morning. The highlight of my disappointment was the so-called 'Hollandaise' sauce that accompanied my Eggs Benedict. I expressed my concern to the waitress about how it neither looked nor tasted like a proper Hollandaise but rather resembled a Béchamel sauce. To my surprise, she brushed off my complaint, insisting that their chef knows what's in it. What bothered me even more was her attempt to involve another customer, who conveniently happened to be a chef, sitting nearby, making it feel like an unnecessary spectacle.

I requested to see both sauces, and it was evident that the other one was indeed a Béchamel, while the one they presented as a Hollandaise was far from it. When I asked the neighboring diner if he noticed the difference, he simply claimed that 'every restaurant does it its own way.' In my opinion, there's a traditional way to make Hollandaise with three main ingredients, and flour or starch isn't one of them.

Furthermore, there was a problem in ordering a classical Eggs Benedict as it was not on the menu but at the end I received the salmon version without salmon, with bacon on the side.

We also ordered two different coffees, one medium sweet and one sweet, but they tasted identical, both sweet.

When I raised my concerns about the sauce to the waitress, she unconvincingly explained that it was their unique take on Hollandaise, less sour than usual. However, I would have appreciated witnessing the chef's preparation to understand their approach.

Regrettably, I didn't voice my dissatisfaction to the management, as the waitress appeared to hold a managerial role herself and was unresponsive to my concerns. Overall, my experience left me with a sense of frustration and disappointment, especially given the high expectations I had for a brunch outing.

Did I have a wow moment? Sure I did, but it was not on the food.

Do I recommend this for brunch? Definitely not. There are way better places to have real eggs Benedict.

The guys serving us were vey friendly and very...
