Local gem with great pastries—just be flexible with the hours
Came by at 6am as Google listed it open, but it wasn’t quite ready yet. That said, this is Greece—6am might mean 6:30 or later. No big deal. This place is clearly a locals’ spot, and it shows in the vibe and the clientele. Everyone we saw was a regular, grabbing their breads and bakery items like clockwork.
I had a Freddo cappuccino and a ham & cheese croissant. The croissant was warm, savory, and delicious. The coffee was solid—could’ve used a touch more sugar for my taste, but still enjoyable. My wife had an orange juice and two spinach pies, which she described as “very yummy.”
Highly recommend this spot if you want authentic, unfussy bakery fare. As for the reviews calling the staff racist—honestly, that’s a misunderstanding of culture. Greeks can come off a bit rough around the edges, but it’s not personal. They’re like that with everyone, and yes, sometimes a bit more with tourists—but that’s often a reaction to entitled behavior. Be kind, smile, learn a word or two in Greek (even if your pronunciation is off—they’ll appreciate the effort).

It was fresh, warm and so tasty. About the service, there are two types of people: 1; a very kind man with a very kind woman (we found them early in the morning) who made a very nice atmosphere and they were helpful, kind and professional, but there is the 2; an elder couple which was very very rude, not professional with a lot of attitude... The bakery has a nice space outside where you can sit and eat your food so that's why I give 3 on atmosphere... Overall the food is perfect but the 2nd type of service makes it unfriendly and it definitely...
Read moreWe arrived at the bakery around 12pm, maybe that was the reason why everything we ate tasted absolutely AWFUL and old. The lady who could hardly speak English and operate a calculator picked a clearly ancient croissant for us she probably has been trying to sell during the past days with no sucess and got angry when we manage to explain it wasn't the one we initially asked for. Because of that, she quickly became very impatient and had the audacity to say it was our fault she got confused calculating the prices of 4 itens together. I’m never coming back, nor do I recommend...
