Maybe I am the odd one out here with a bad experience. I went here after checking all the reviews for lunch but very disappointed with the food.
Pros: (1) The ambience is great and the owner is very friendly, but thats it.
Cons: (1) We ordered two different types of pasta. It took a bit to arrive. The food was so bland, with no flavors at all. (2) For the price, the portion is extremely small, besides tasteless. The total came out 200 for two pastas and one drink, glad w didn't order more (3) The infused drink we ordered is very overrated, it's just water with little bit of lemon and ginger thrown in it improperly, but quite expensive. (4) If you pay with credit card, there is 10% additional fee. To avoid it, I paid in cash, still the owner charged me 10% in the form of service fee, which she rewarded herself without giving it a choice to customers. Also, the service fee or concept of tip from USA is because of the low wage of waiters or waitresses, no need to pay this if entirely owned and operated by just the owner. I just had a truly legendarily awful experience at this restaurant, and hope to warn others. I rarely review restaurants, and in most cases describe a positive experience.
My wife and I ordered - lentil soup for me and gnocchi for her. I tasted the gnocchi - bland and boring, meh rather than anything else. We were the only ones there the hour we were there.
The soup was inedible, over salted water and lentils. Nothing else. The woman serving asked if anything was wrong and when I said it was too salty and flavorless. She offered to bring some “caldo” - I thanked her and asked if she had any pepper or perhaps even salsa, she nodded and came back with some water she poured into the salty mess and three tiny plates - with a little pepper a little turmeric and a larger quantity of salt. I dumped all the pepper and turmeric into the soup and gave her back the salt.
After we are a little we paid. SHE GAVE HERSELF A TIP in the bill of two dissatisfied customers who left most of the basic fare she provided.
GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO FEEL HATED or just to check out the shot glasses of water she brings...
