We had the most incredible experience staying at this charming hotel in Antigua, Guatemala. From start to finish, everything was seamless, thanks to the warm hospitality of the owners—Hugo and his son, also named Hugo. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of, from organizing smooth airport transportation to making sure our arrival and departure were effortless.||The hotel itself is a true gem. Beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches that reflect the charm of Antigua, it felt both authentic and incredibly comfortable. The rooms were cozy and well-equipped, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring.||The pictures do not do the stunning rooftop justice!! Super cute roof with a stunning view of the surrounding volcanoes and the picturesque cityscape.||The location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of Antigua, within walking distance to all the major attractions, restaurants, and shops, yet still peaceful and quiet at night.||If you're planning a visit to Antigua, this hotel is an absolute must. Thank you to Hugo and Hugo for making our stay...
Read moreThis small guesthouse style hotel is just so sweet and charming. We loved it here. The manager Hugo is the nicest person ever and we enjoyed talking to him. He has worked here for 28 years. The rooms are full of antiques and the beds were comfortable. There were jugs in the corridor providing free drinking water. There’s also a kitchen where coffee is brewing every morning although they do not serve breakfast. There is a terrace upstairs with a volcano view. And a small courtyard and seating area on the ground floor. The location is great close to everywhere you want to be. The room is very clean however if you are the kind of person who needs everything very clean and minimalist you will hate this place because it is full of antiques everywhere you look. Some of the small rooms on the ground floor seemed rather dark but our room had nice French doors with light. my friends favorite room was upstairs. If I came back to Antigua I would definitely stay...
Read moreGreat location in central Antigua. My girlfriend and I stayed here for several nights when we were in town. Hugo was super helpful and welcoming while we checked in, and let us know that there is drinking water on site (from the water station, NOT the taps.)
The room itself was pretty nice, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice enough and we didn’t have any issues with the hot water. We were on the second floor and there was no AC or fan and therefore if the windows were closed the room was an oven. There were also no fly screens on the windows so if you did have them open you were bound to get mosquitos in your room.
The rooftop patio is gorgeous and is a great little addition to this hostel. The location is also great as it’s a 5 min walk to the square, the arch and the church. There is also plenty of food options around.
Overall it’s a decent option for the price, but I’d definitely look around to see if you can find...
