We had the most incredible experience staying at this charming hotel in Antigua, Guatemala. From start to finish, everything was seamless, thanks to the warm hospitality of the owners—Hugo and his son, also named Hugo. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of, from organizing smooth airport transportation to making sure our arrival and departure were effortless.||The hotel itself is a true gem. Beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches that reflect the charm of Antigua, it felt both authentic and incredibly comfortable. The rooms were cozy and well-equipped, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring.||The pictures do not do the stunning rooftop justice!! Super cute roof with a stunning view of the surrounding volcanoes and the picturesque cityscape.||The location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of Antigua, within walking distance to all the major attractions, restaurants, and shops, yet still peaceful and quiet at night.||If you're planning a visit to Antigua, this hotel is an absolute must. Thank you to Hugo and Hugo for making our stay...

This small guesthouse style hotel is just so sweet and charming. We loved it here. The manager Hugo is the nicest person ever and we enjoyed talking to him. He has worked here for 28 years. The rooms are full of antiques and the beds were comfortable. There were jugs in the corridor providing free drinking water. There’s also a kitchen where coffee is brewing every morning although they do not serve breakfast. There is a terrace upstairs with a volcano view. And a small courtyard and seating area on the ground floor. The location is great close to everywhere you want to be. The room is very clean however if you are the kind of person who needs everything very clean and minimalist you will hate this place because it is full of antiques everywhere you look. Some of the small rooms on the ground floor seemed rather dark but our room had nice French doors with light. my friends favorite room was upstairs. If I came back to Antigua I would definitely stay...

Great location in central Antigua. My girlfriend and I stayed here for several nights when we were in town. Hugo was super helpful and welcoming while we checked in, and let us know that there is drinking water on site (from the water station, NOT the taps.)

The room itself was pretty nice, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice enough and we didn’t have any issues with the hot water. We were on the second floor and there was no AC or fan and therefore if the windows were closed the room was an oven. There were also no fly screens on the windows so if you did have them open you were bound to get mosquitos in your room.

The rooftop patio is gorgeous and is a great little addition to this hostel. The location is also great as it’s a 5 min walk to the square, the arch and the church. There is also plenty of food options around.

Overall it’s a decent option for the price, but I’d definitely look around to see if you can find...

Unfortunately we had very disappointing and unpleasant stay in this hotel. The positive point was the hot water for shower. The front desk man, Hugo, was friendly and welcoming. However, the room needed great maintenance. The room had unpleasant smell, like moisture. The bed sheets were worn out too. The mattress was not comfortable. Our room was located in the ground level in front of the kitchen. When we opened the door and windows to get fresh air, the smell of kitchen and even worst some bad toilet smells came inside our room. At least one hanger is needed in the bathroom so you can hang your towels or cloths! Windows need nets so that you can leave windows open at night. The combination of flooring, equipment and everything in the room was bad. This room should not be offered as a "Hotel" room to any customer.

I've stayed at Posada San Sebastian for all my visits to Antigua, over the past two decades. It hasn't changed - and that's a good thing. Its hosts speak perfect English, it's 3 blocks from the Parque, and it's a perfect home base - for hanging out or going out. The rooftop deck gives a gorgeous view of the surrounding volcanos and the City Center. It's homey. It's not fancy, but it's filled with love. There are single, double and triple rooms. The price hasn't changed all that much in 20 years, and it's extremely reasonable, especially if you're traveling with friends. They will also arrange your car to and from the air port, as well as help you arrange trips to Lake Atitlan.

The place is super central! The rooms are spacious, and staying here feels like traveling back in time — it’s full of antiques, almost like a living museum. It’s also very quiet, and they truly respect every guest’s privacy. Now, let’s talk about their customer service — at first, we were warmly welcomed, and it was a beautiful start. Later, we had the pleasure of meeting Luis, the owner, and his daughter María José — they are such lovely people! We’re already looking forward to our return to Antigua, especially to this charming place. Thank you so much for making us feel at home.
