Ta'Cool Taco Shop — Restaurant in Sacatepéquez

Thursday 11 2022 , we stop 🛑 my friends and I to have dinner at this place since the one we want was close , this place looks great clean and very charm … I will be posting some pictures , I like the decoration . And good was really nice presented . We order some nachos and a plate of tacos . Some margaritas since there was a promotion 2x1 margaritas . Well everything was going on real good until we all the waitress to bring the second margarita to the table then she just tell us that we never mention the promotion . so she don’t want to give us the bn promotion. I told her that they need to provide that info and promotions to the customers. And that we order those margaritas because we saw the sign in the table. So she start to give me a really bad actitud 😓. I cancel and ask for a soda then she comes back saying that the manager aprobé the change 🫣. My friends order a frozen strawberry margarita and I order the mango frozen . Well they take forever to bring the drinks 🍹 and well one of my friends drinks. We finish eating . And the drink never came out. when I ask for the drink she just reply “we have more customers “ . And she leaves, we wait like 5 minutes then she brings the drink 🍹 when we ask for the check . Well to finish this review 1.- lovely place nice decoration 2.- Good food 3.- bad service and waitress need to be more friendly. By the way we speak Spanish all the time so there is no a misunderstanding.

I don’t recommend this place because the service . There is nothing like a friendly service , to enjoy your meal . Waitress ID...

Ordered 2 margaritas but they ran out of tequila at 02:30pm. We substituted it with mezcal which costed more. Right after our drinks were served the manager was holding a bottle of tequila which had enough to make 2 margaritas. The manager convinced my partner there wasn’t enough. However, my partner runs a bar service and works in the liquor business back home. We didn’t bother to order food because we were pretty turned off. They sent over a different server to provide the bill. Their system was down so it was a written bill. The server broke it down to us how much each item costed. I was fine up to the point where tips were included. My Spanish is limited, but the server understood service was poor and therefore tips were not well deserved. If my language skills were better I would like the restaurant to also know that was a tone deaf move to ask for tips after poor service. I would have given zero star for service if I could. If you’re unable to read this situation, service business is not for you. No hate to the 2nd server they sent over. He understood and recognized what happened. Fun spot to go for a drink — they mango margaritas are fun to look at AND delicious! As far as food goes I'd say Tacool is pretty average — not the worst Mexican I've ever had but nowhere near the best; just lacking a little in overall flavour, but they do have plenty of hot sauces to try.

Atmosphere-wise it's a pretty cool setup, with a good view of the street for people watching. The playlist seemed to be cycling through a lot of the Black Eyed Peas' deep cuts while we were there, which gave a pretty funny yet enjoyable vibe! (Sadly, the toilets were very unclean, which is a bummer.)
