BOHO BAR — Restaurant in Budapest

This was a very unpleasant experience overall. We ordered aperol spritz and a strawberry lemonade. The aperol was not done right, I’m guessing they didn’t use the right amount of Prosecco, but didn’t taste as aperol spritz should taste at all. The strawberry lemonade was extremely sweet, clearly made from some very cheap syrup, not a single fresh strawberry in it or a strawberry taste, tasted very “plastic”.

We got avocado toasts with eggs Benedict with salmon and Serrano ham. The bread this came on was stale and very very thin. The avocado spread had a very strange and sour taste, and the eggs were not even close to being Benedict style. The pancakes we got as dessert were raw inside, not the safest thing to eat in a 30 degree weather. We got charged the service fee TWICE, we have no idea why.

Terrible place with terrible food and a terrible service, do not recommend this to anyone, will...

Well, this restaurant was well over our expectation, the Internal design and the furniture was really beautiful.

When it gets to the meals:

For appetizers we had salmon which was nicely flavored with avocado cream and on the top, some pomegranate seeds, which were adding to it beautiful taste..

The risotto was perfectly cooked! - rice was not overcooked not hard and the taste was perfect 👍🏼 The goat cheese, which was added to the risotto, was so mild, it was melting in your mouth.

The seafood pasta, was al dente and the flavors were mind blowing. At some places they don’t know how to properly cook squid. The squid in this pasta was soft like a butter, well done🙌

The waiter came back after he has served the meals to ask us whether everything is fine 🙏 I think this is very important that the waiter was attentive!

The atmosphere was amazing, the music, the sunset view, the structure of it is very well executed. The staff (Marti) were incredibly kind and caring, even though our family dog did cause some annoyence and trouble they remained just as amazing and proffesional as before. We also observed our waiter (Márti) go after a small group who just sat down and after some wait decided to leave, and ask if they had any problem with the place that could be fixed for them to remain. She along, with multiple other staff members, ensured that each and every costumer enjoyed their stay, even if they've left early. The drinks were very enjoyable, I would specificaly reccomend the banoni cocktail, it was fruity and light with some bitters perfectly balancing it out.
