Me and my girlfriend went to the Bottomless Brunch at Eggscuse Me?, that we bought from GetYourGuide for €37.
We went on a Thursday, and arrived just before 1pm. When we arrived, nobody else was eating, and nobody else arrived while we were there. The bottomless brunch lasts for 2 hours and includes one entrée, as well as their sparkling wine cocktails (mimosa, Aperol spritz, Hugo). While it was certainly worth it for us, according to the menu prices, I'm not sure I would label the experience as "bottomless", only lasting 2 hours and with only 1 entree included. We also noticed that cocktails are buy one, get one 50% off from 2-4pm, so we could've paid about the same if we had come at 2pm anyway.
The food was good, overall. We had the seranno ham croissant benedict and the avocado + salmon sandwich. The croissant benedict was delicious, but a bit difficult to eat, due to the seranno ham. (I might suggest cutting it into pieces or strips, as it doesn't lend itself well to a sandwich when it's difficult to bite through.) The croissant was the best part though, and the poached egg was cooked perfectly. The avocado + salmon sandwich wasn't really to our taste, but I can see how some people could enjoy it. We might've liked it better with mashed avocado instead of the avocado cream, and perhaps better bread.
The drinks were all great. We liked the Hugo best. The mimosas were made with a decent Hungarian sparkling wine. The staff were friendly...
Read moreWe had a fantastic brunch at EggsCuse Me Brunch & Bistro — easily one of the highlights of our time in Budapest. We ordered eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, an Aperol spritz, and a banana milkshake — everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. The banana milkshake was especially great — thick, creamy, and not too sweet.
A special shoutout to our lovely server Betti, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Her kindness and care really made the whole experience memorable.
The vibe is stylish yet relaxed — perfect for a slow, indulgent morning. We’d come back in a heartbeat....
Read moreUnfortunately, it's just average. The place seems to be fairly new, or reopened and belongs to the adjacent club. However, the ambience is already a bit worn (lots of stains on the couch). The toilets are a disaster; they can't be locked and the path to them isn't lit. The food was just average, if anything. Shakshuka was a warmed can of lecho, English breakfast with kidney beans instead of baked beans, coffee came in an impractical glass instead of a cup... The sandwich was okay but a little bit dry. We'll avoid the place, there are better places. The service was friendly, but obviously very young and with...
