Review – A Taste of Thailand in the Heart of Budapest
While visiting Budapest, we discovered a Thai restaurant that completely blew us away. Every dish was bursting with flavor, expertly prepared, and genuinely transported us to Thailand with each bite.
Here’s what we ordered:
🔸 Green Curry with Chicken: Outstanding. Rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, the green curry had just the right kick without overpowering the subtle sweetness of the coconut milk. The chicken was tender, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. It was comforting, bold, and deeply satisfying.
🔸 Pad Kee Mao with Chicken: These “drunken noodles” were a flavor bomb. Stir-fried wide rice noodles with Thai basil, chili and a dark soy sauce base – everything came together in a spicy, smoky, and slightly sweet harmony. The chicken was juicy and soaked up the sauce beautifully. A must for lovers of spicy food.
🔸 Zab E Lee: This was perhaps the most surprising and unique dish of the evening – egg noodles with shrimp, lychee, and Thai red curry. The combination of sweet lychee and spicy red curry was unexpected and incredibly well-balanced. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the creamy curry clung to the noodles just right. It was sweet, spicy, tropical, and absolutely unforgettable.
The service was fast, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy yet stylish, with a vibe that made you want to linger just a little longer after the last bite.
And to top it all off – the value for money was excellent. The portions were generous, the quality top-notch, and the prices very reasonable for the experience delivered (We paid 35 euros for two people).

Honestly, I’m not sure if these reviews on this page are even real because this place put ketchup on our Pad Thai .
Plus on lot of our dishes just put a lot of ketchup and some kind of mayonnaise sauce and made everything look nice but everything was soaked in random sauces that are not super authentic.
Then we will get dishes that don’t even look like the other dishes from other Thai restaurants…
Three we’ve been to Thailand and we’ve been at Thai restaurants all over the world and this is not a Thai restaurant I say it’s an Asian fusion restaurant.
I was extremely dissatisfied and I came with people from five other countries, and this was not worth it. They don’t even have desert or mango, sticky rice.
The only the only reason we’re giving one star is because the server was super nice and he smiled a lot.
Food was cooked way too quickly and was...

The entire first floor is not more than 20 foot square, half of that is the kitchen, and sits 6 people. The upstairs is maybe 10 x 20 and seats another six.
When you walk in the door the order counter is right there in your face and behind it is the "kitchen". In all there is maybe 10 feet of counter for prep and cooking. Standing behind the two woks is a magnificent Thai gentleman in a chefs jacket. This guy looks like he could be on the Food Network and is as neat and professional as could be imagined, given he is on his feet cooking non-stop 10 hours a day. He handles the two woks simultaneously like a chef off one of those high priced cooking shows. Just watching him is worth the stop. And every plate comes out with the touches and style you would expect in a 5 star restaurant.
Excellent food. ...
