I love this cute little place that specializes in traditional Hungarian Lángos. The restaurant is very small and has two levels – there is bar-style seating along the wall on the first floor and a few tables upstairs. The interior design is super nice and authentic, with many traditional Hungarian elements. It’s truly enjoyable to sit inside and soak up the cozy atmosphere. The menu is small and mainly focused on Hungarian Lángos with different toppings, but there are also a few extra dishes like Hungarian goulash soup, beef stew, and a couple of desserts. I decided to try their Hungarian Goulash Lángos, and I absolutely loved it! It took about 10 minutes to cook it fresh, and the dish arrived piping hot – I even had to wait a few minutes for it to cool down. My Lángos looked and smelled amazing, and it tasted just as great! The dough was soft and crispy, and the goulash was super flavorful and cooked very well, with almost no fat on the meat. The sauce was so delicious that I could’ve easily eaten it as a soup! I absolutely recommend everyone to try their Hungarian Goulash Lángos! Unfortunately, the drink selection at the restaurant is quite small, so I just ordered water. It would be nice if they added more options for soft drinks, like various sodas and juices. Two ladies were working at the restaurant the day I visited, and they were both cute and sweet, but none of them spoke English, so I had to point to the items on the menu to make my order. Prices at the restaurant are reasonable. It’s not the cheapest option since you can find Lángos around Budapest for almost half the price, but considering the generous size, freshness, and delicious taste, €12 is still a good deal. The restaurant accepts all major credit cards and Apple Pay. I strongly recommend checking out this place if you’re looking for great Hungarian Lángos in Budapest! The restaurant’s location is very central, by the way, making it easy to find and reach from anywhere in the...
Read moreIf you're a foreigner, do not come here unless you want to be treated like it's your first day on Earth and talked to in an extremely condescending manner.
When we entered, right away the worker started yelling out all of the menu items that they don't have at the moment; when I told her that we are just here for langos, she said "Look at the pictures so you understand" and shoved a menu in my hands.
It took us more than 10 minutes to order just 2 langos because the workers were taking breaks inbetween to act like they don't understand what we are saying.
Once we got our orders, mine was wrong but I decided not to complain in order to avoid being talked to like I am missing a brain.
The best part is: when I asked for a glass of tap water, the worker filled up a plastic cup with soda water and attempted to charge me 5000 HUF (12 EUR).
To top it all off, while we were eating the workers did not stop giggling, gossiping, and making fun of my attempt to get a glass of water. (I managed to understand some with my limited hungarian...
Read moreNagyi Lángos is the best langosh in the town. If you would like to get a good taste of tradtional hungarian taste, you definitely has to taste the old fashion langosh with sour cream and chees (optional with garlic oil), but if you want to try other typical hungarian aromas, you can choose for example langosh with beef stew (marhapörkölt), tomato-paprika-onion veggie ragou hungarian art (lecsó) and many other. But on the menu you can also find crepe (palacsinta) with home-made jams, soup, and you definitely have to taste the home made sirup (sour cherry, edelflower-apple, rosehip or raspberry). All this delicious street food in an old fashion hungarian granny style indoor design! Cool place, top quality food, nice and friendly staff and super prices. And by the way, the two adorable owner of the local are working only with local producer and supplier, to...
