This is a hidden gem among ruin bars. The people were just AMAZING. Went on a Sunday after hustling 2-days in Budapest doing the "tourist" scene and I must say it was the best experience with unlimited mimosas with different juice blends. Add peach, you get a bellini, add peach and red grapefruit and it tasted like passionfruit. These guys have a very unique concept within a crowded bar scene...but it is always about the people. Service was superb, venue was rustic but different. They brew their own craft beer. The Kolsch was awesome, refreshing. The brewmaster plays with some American fare beers, tapping into some great IPA styles. The brunch was a solid deal, but we stuck to the mimosas. Spent 4 hours with some of the best people I have ever met. They have dart boards and board games along with decent baf food. My neighbor had some awesome smelling food that I had to ask about, it was off-menu from a Thanksgiving special menu they offered previously. The cook was awesome, Chris showed me the brewery and her mom was spearheading the bar helping the owner. This type of gathering for a shared purpose is what business life is about. They have a tattoo parlor on the second floor along with some great space where the creepy Teletubbies can't be missed. I highly recommend you stopping by to get a nice blend of the ruin bar scene, some excellent craft beer, and the most awesome staff. The DJ got us all vibin' and would definitely spend another afternoon in...

I love coming to Ruin Brew! I come 1-2 times a week. On Mondays they will sometimes have Momo Mondays, which is what is pictured. Amazing food by Rio and Alix. But on Sundays they have these fun drag brunches and just amazing brunch in general. They have classic American pancakes and hash browns. It really reminds me of back home in the U.S. Their craft beers are also amazing and are super fun. Meg and David are so great at the bar and are always trying and pushing new ideas. Ruin Brew also brings in guest performers like 28 Goats and Codiac to perform on Saturdays or for other events. They also have partnerships with other local businesses and will bring events and other vendors here. They have fun pop up events at different times of year and all of their staff are amazing! Shout out to Meg, David, and Nasike for providing excellent service, food, and innovative drinks and...

It was our last night and wanted to visit a "ruin" bar. Well, this is not a real one, just made to look like one. Service was friendly. Everyone spoke English which was a real plus. Prices are good. Beers were good, as well as the prices. We ordered french fries and onion rings. They took a while and were both okay unlike the menu states "the best french fries". My husband was elated American football was on all their screens so that was a real score for me since I recommended it. There are games to play and an upstairs with a tattoo parlor. The upstairs could use a makeover as there are items leftover from a bachelor apartment such as leftover leather sectional and chairs. It's a cool hangout. Just could use some tweaking to make it...

We weren't sure we were in the right place when we arrived. But as soon as we entered we were greeted warmly by David who found seating for us. I have been so hungry for American style pancakes and this short stack of 3 Blueberry pancakes with bacon and maple syrup were some of the best I have had in Europe. The seating area on the main floor is small and cozy. Jodi behind the bar and Megan in the kitchen along with David are all American Expats and know how to make their guests feel welcome. Huge bonus today .. dogs. A group of veterinary students were there with their 4 extremely well behaved dogs. Live DJ provided background music that added to the ambiance and charm. We will be back. I hear Bingo on Tuesday night is a lot of fun.

I really want to like this place. I have a microbrewery in England and came to Budapest to explore the craft beer scene. I’ve been here twice and been underwhelmed twice. The beer selection is minimal but my main problem is both times I’ve visited I’ve been met with a frosty reception. The bar tenders are not welcoming at all and when asked about their beer, don’t really know anything about it. They used to do nice tacos at least but now they’ve scrapped that for a scaled down menu and the food is not that great. The beer is ok but had much better in other craft beer breweries and bars in Budapest. It was almost empty both times and I can see why.
