Tapas Fino went far and beyond my expectations. The service was excellent, very friendly, and they were very passionate about the food they brought out. All of the dishes were incredible. They were reimagined Spanish staples which were done extremely well. Spanish restaurants in Budapest either feel too pretentious or overcharge average products, but not here. This place made all the dishes so delicately, yet you can still taste and feel the original Spanish dish it was inspired from. Even the platter of olives, manchego and chorizo was so incredible, it was even better than some restaurants back home. The veil steak was one of our favourite dishes as the sauce was so smooth and the steak so tender, it felt like a dream. The pulpo and patatas bravas was unique and executed so well, I was shocked how they could make something as simple as a potato dish into something unforgettable. To top it all off, we ordered crema catalana for dessert, and it was nothing short of perfect. The atmosphere and the views are unbeatable, and the gentle live music was a nice touch to an unforgettable evening. It's worth every penny.

Definitely my favorite spot of the Spanish tapas places in town. We were there as a group of five, and after looking at the menu we decided to ask for them to just bring a table full of their favorite tapas dishes since we really couldn't choose. So they did. And it was absolutely wonderful. We got bread and olives with butter and tapenade, iberico ham, two different kinds of shrimp (a spicy one and a garlic one, both really good), Spanish omelette, patatas bravas, croquettas, agnus beef sandwiches and some layered mushrooms which I don't remember the name of but was so ridiculously good. Everything was so delicious and tasty and by the end of the meal we were all so stuffed. We did have a crema catalana and some churros as a dessert but hardly could finish them anymore. The best dishes were the agnus sandwiches and the mushroom thingie, and everyone agrees on this. The staff was very attentive and kind, and we also heard some excellent live music performed by a talented guitarist with his backtracks. Definitely my go-to place from now on whenever I'm in the mood for some tapas.

Tapas Fino is an extension to the hotel I stayed at, Hotel Vision. After my long journey to Budapest, I was hungry and did not want to travel far for lunch. So, Tapas Fino seemed like a no brainer. Besides, it was busy, which is usually an indication of good food and service. The Tapas was average. I cannot say I particularly enjoyed the meal. It was not good but it was not bad, it was average. However, I think I did not make the best selections when ordering. The service was nice but what bothered me is that they don’t switch out the placemats after each guest. The placemats were dirty, it was evident that sauce had splattered and dried from the previous diners. Out of curiosity I examined the other tables with placemats to determine if I was an isolated experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The placemats were dirty and had been there for a while. I wanted to give Tapas Fino another shot, yet it was closed for the rest of my stay. I cannot recommend this place, although I am open to trying it again next time I visit Budapest.
