Read moreI cannot speak to the bars atmosphere or food as I didn't stay. The reason for the one star review is the name "American bar" is an inaccurate name. A more appropriate name would be "European Sports Bar that also shows NFL Games". I went here to watch a CFB game thinking a place that claimed to be an American sports bar would be showing some CFB, a major US sports market, but was told they wouldn't change any TVs because they were watching soccer. I arrived at 9 PM so I would have thought they could have spared a TV to watch CFB as I'd assume by then most European soccer games were already over so I can only guess they were watching ones from South America. As an American don't waste your time coming here unless you only want to watch an NFL game, apparently that's all they think Americas watch.
For Europeans to understand how this comes off imagine you're in the US and want to watch cricket, billards, rugby, or darts so you find a bar called English Pub but when you show up they say "sorry it's Saturday and that's CFB day so we won't put those sports on". Because as everyone knows premier league soccer is the only sport...
Read moreThe food was excellent and delivered in a very timely manner, ordered a meal deal consisting of fries which were perfectly salted and had the right amount of crunch, hotwings that were indeed very fiery but had a cool sauce that kept refreshing the temperature as to not overload my tongue with the usual numbing burn of standard hotwings, there are no complaints with the burger and although the menu is very small and quaint when it comes to food, the chef has my praise nonetheless because they have the formula down to a T. The music and ambience of the venue is comforting and warm with a few signs to chuckle at with tongue and cheek humour. The service wasn't overbearing but instead just very convenient and on-time. This is a bar after all so a big food menu isn't to be expected but rather I encourage them to expand their range food-wise as the person in the kitchen clearly knows their way around cooking up enforcing....
