We walked past this little unassuming restaurant and decided to head in because we were hungry, we walked in we’re seated straight away and as the menu is quite small we managed to choose and order within 3 minutes. Could see the staff were very attentive to their surroundings constantly clearing up this small restaurant to make room for new hungry customers. Our food came very quick, fish and chips and a carne Quattro, meat pizza. My girlfriend described the fish and chips as delicious and the pizza also hit the spot. The only downside is when we had finished eating a waitress walked past to serve the garlic pizza bread to someone else and it looked amazing and we missed out. 5/5 would recommend to take your secret lover here.

Great! Awesome! Wonderful! Had a party of 4 and we all wanted a restaurant with different options. This was it. Started with the mozzarella sticks 😋 One person ordered pizza was excellent not greasy, and it’s brick oven cooked! Others ordered fish and chips and it was the best fish not dry, or over cooked and not fishy tasting. We are from Florida and can never find fish that good! I ordered the Lamb sandwich, lamb in the states is very thin, this lamb is thick slices! And flavored so great, this reminded me of a steak sandwich, lamb was excellent. Europe restaurants serve soda in cans not on tap, so your paying per can which is everywhere. Definitely a must do in Reykjavik!

We had a great meal at 101 Bistro. The dude that didn’t like the pizza on TripAdvisor is full of crap. I had a calzone while my wife had a vegetarian pizza. Very tasty. I sampled a Viking Lager and can report that it is QUITE good. The staff was friendly and speedy. We would (and will) go back. Portions are large, so plan accordingly. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we went back a second time to try different kinds of pizza. The kitchen stays open until about 10pm, which is very convenient. They have decent seating capacity for couples, as well as groups of as many as eight (that we saw). For beer enthusiasts, they have Viking Gold on draught.

The sign out front states "Best Fish & Chips in Town!" This title is completely undeserved. The batter on the fish was oily and mushy due to too low temperature frying. A very rookie mistake. The fish pieces were also broken, making for a very poor and unprofessional presentation. No crunch to be found anywhere! Flavor was also missingI had to layer the things with salt in order to coax any flavor at all out of them. I was stunned by the nearly 26 Euro price tag (as reflected on my credit card statement) on two pieces of cod and some chips and lettuce along with a thimble of tartar sauce. The server told me that this was standard Iceland pricing. Wrong again! This is, "never get food in the town center, souvenir and hotel district" pricing. We were also told that their cod was superior because it was fresh - never frozen. EVERY fish and chips joint makes this claim, and it's likely true. It's Iceland! But, if you want good fish and chips - better food, better service, and better staff attitude, choose pretty much any restaurant serving fish and chips for much, much better fish and chips at nearly one third less and 100% better! After sampling fish and chips from 5 different locations in town, this one came out to be our least favorite. Also, NEVER eat at a place that can't accept honest...

Title: "101 Bistro Delight: Quick Service and Delicious Takeaway Options!"

I recently had the pleasure of discovering 101 Bistro, and I must say, I am truly impressed! When I ordered their Pizza Margherita Napoletana for takeaway, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it was ready. But the best part was the taste - the pizza was simply delicious! Crispy, juicy, and with an authentic flavor that immediately captivated me.

On another occasion, I opted for their Fish and Chips, also for takeaway. And once again, I was not disappointed. The fish pieces were fresh, and the chips were crispy without being greasy. It was truly a delight to enjoy these treats.

What particularly impressed me was the consistency of quality with both orders. It's evident that the team at 101 Bistro places great emphasis on fresh ingredients and careful preparation. Additionally, the service was prompt and efficient, making the entire process even more enjoyable.

Overall, I highly recommend 101 Bistro. Whether you're craving delicious pizza or classic fish and chips, you won't be disappointed here. I'm already looking forward to trying more from their...

I had the fish and chips (take away) yesterday and was pleased with my meal. Good portion, tasty and hot when I collected and ate it back in my hotel room. So today after a long day on sightseeing tour I thought best to go somewhere tried & tested. I decided to try the lamb plate having read positive reviews. I was told 15 mins wait for takeaway, I collected promptly but had to ask for cutlery (considering the dish has rice I assumed it would be given/offered - yesterday I was given without asking cutlery with my fish and chips! ). From restaurant counter back into my hotel room it's less than 4mins (that's how close my hotel is) and I open my meal and it's COLD/LUKEWARM! The rice underneath the lamb is cold, 2-3 diced pieces of lamb were lukewarm and the rest all cold. The side of bread was cold and salad was limp... Honestly it felt like leftovers not something freshly prepared... I couldn't stomach it and ended up being sick. So disappointed tonight after a good experience yesterday and really truly wish I'd gone...
