OMG if you are in Reykjavik, make it a point to come by here to have the donuts and bagels. SO good - both the food and the service. I loved the cinammon donuts so much I ordered 2 more for takeaway, but as I sat down and looked in the bag I realised they were the wrong ones (just a miscom) and I went back (rather embarrassed) to the counter and asked if I could change them (and then realised I had put my bagel in the mix too so I wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to exchange - so I offered to pay for the 2 new cinnamon ones) - but the sweet lady at the counter refused and the nice guy behind her said “I think you should take it” 🤣 I felt really bad but it made me so happy in the end, enough to write this review as I l’m sitting here still! HAHA. Icelanders are really friendly in general but the customer service here in the cafe really makes you feel welcomed. Hope to come back here again when I visit Iceland!! - A Deig donut lover from Brunei 🇧🇳 I hope my fellow Bruneians who come to Iceland find their way...

Deig used to be the best place in town to cope with an unexpected hangover in the middle of the week with a friend over a damn fine bagel and a piping hot cup coffee, but no more. I can't get why they have to blast techno dance versions of some old songs like they expect me to buy a pair of gym shorts and get out. The music lately has been nothing but atrocious and I find myself trying to find a spot farthest away from the speakers, which I have now noticed are everywhere. I love the place though and have been a regular for many years! Next time I'm...
Read moreFantastic smoked salmon bagels - up there with any good deli anywhere in the world including the USA, would recommend. The sweets are not as good, but are still tasty. The crème brûlée donut was meh, but a fun thing to try. The cake donuts were better. Their espresso drinks are mid, but definitely not bad. No Reykjavik Roasters or anything, but good enough. Overall will come back and highly recommend for the salmon bagel if you have a hankering in the city. Inside atmosphere is kinda chill, and the space is shared with Le Kock on the other side of the inside...
