Reykjavik Pizzeria is a hidden gem just off the main tourist path, offering a welcome break from the busy downtown crowd. This spot draws more locals than tourists, giving it an authentic and relaxed neighborhood vibe. The atmosphere is casual and friendly—perfect for a laid-back meal. We ordered the Feti pizza and the focaccia cheese bread, both of which were excellent. The Feti pizza was a standout, with a crisp, thin crust and flavorful toppings that struck the right balance between savory and rich. The focaccia cheese bread was warm, gooey, and satisfying—great for sharing or starting off the meal. To drink, we enjoyed a Viking beer and made use of the self-service soda fountain, which is a rare and welcome find in Iceland. Ordering is done at the counter, and the service is efficient, which fits the overall casual vibe. Prices are reasonable, especially compared to more touristy restaurants nearby. If you’re looking for solid pizza and a local feel without the crowds, Reykjavik Pizzeria is worth the detour. It’s unpretentious, affordable, and serves up reliably good food in a chill setting. We’ll definitely be back.

We were a party of six people visiting Reykjavik from Chicago. We visited this place on a Friday evening a little after 9PM and they accommodated us on the second floor by joining three tables together. We are all vegetarian and so we ordered two garlic breads (12") and the No. 1 Margherita), No. 21 (Ljufmeti) and No. 25 (Graenkerinn). The pizzas arrived around the same time as the garlic bread (35 mins). All five items ordered looked good upon arrival and tasted delicious as we expected. The beers we ordered at the same time as the pizza took about 30 mins to arrive which we thought was way too long, but the taste of the food more than compensated for the late beer arrival. The condiment in the glass bottle which we think was some type of oil mixed with red chili flakes was a big hit amongst our party. It was something we have seen before in all the pizzerias we have ate at in the Chicagoland area. Overall, it was a good experience eating here and I would highly recommend anyone who is looking to eat pizza to try this place out.

Specialty brick oven pizzeria. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Many intriguing pizza selections. My pizza had bernaise sauce, beef, pepperoni, cheese and red sauce. So good, with an incredible charred chewy crust. If I lived here, I would order this all the time. We also had garlic bread pizza and the feta & veggie pizza. Both good. Our company had a margarita pizza. They didn’t love it as there was no basil. They are picky eaters. Looks like they also run a great takeaway and delivery business. We ate there upstairs in their dining room. Comfortable, clean with a good view. This is tucked away in a quieter neighborhood close to busier shopping area.

Had high hopes for a good pizza and it was just around the corner from where I was staying. Entered at 6pm greeted and I took a seat on the second floor. Just one other table occupied by two. Waitress took my order and disappeared. Short time later pizza and a beer arrived. Waitress disappeared despite the other table trying to get her attention to order another beer. They were only six feet away. I had my pizza but no utensils or napkin. I spotted some on a service counter and got my own. No one ever showed up again to offer water, another beer, nothing. I sat having finished as did the other table. Still the only two in this three story building. Finally I went down to the counter and asked to pay the bill. Unreal experience. I know customers are clearly an inconvenience to this business so why be in to be...
