I normally do not give such a rating to any restaurant, especially one that have been to multiple times. But it is unacceptable to be serving stale food two times over and then to be charging for it.
Have had two decent plus experience at this restaurant. Was here for dinner on Saturday night. Paneer tikka, Chole, Aloo Gobi were all good.ordered bhindi fry. The first time it arrived as my wife put some from the dish to her plate, got a rotten smell. Smelt it and there was something wrong. Explained to one of the elderly gentlemen, who promptly removed it . After 10 minutes a new portion cooked newly arrived. However on taking the first mouthful, realised it too had rotten tomatoes. Explained the issue to the same person and said that we were leaving. Went o pay the bill and was billed for the bhindi fry and 2 butter phulkas that we never got. Asked for it to be removed from the bill. Was given a bill and was told it was reduced.
Paid the new bill without looking at it and came out and saw a Rs 75 was charged for a rotten dish which I had not eaten. Went back and the elderly gentleman responded by saying we have reduced the price.
Never have seen such senseless restaurenter who would serve a rotten dish two times over and still insist to charge for it. Had half a mind to call the local health inspector, just resisted because it was elderly people.
PS it is not the question of money...
Read moreAmma’s legacy is right in front of our apartment complex. So it’s very convenient to order in any time of the day or night. But what makes them really good is the home cooked quality of Punjabi vegetarian food they serve with a very polite and sincere owner and his committed team.
Over the past two months, we have ordered a variety of items from their Thali to staples like daals, palak paneer, aloo gobi/mutter, parattas, phulkas, starters like grilled paneer & vegetables (many more items on their menu that we need to get to). They are made fresh and tasty with salt, spice and oil at a healthy home cooked level. The food is always delivered hot (a local advantage since we are right next door) and in good time. The pricing is clearly value for money.
To sum it up, it’s like we have a good traditional Punjabi Dhaba right next door but one that is clean, hygienic and well organised that serves yummy Punjabi ghar ka khana at a good price.
We are fortunate to have...
