Review by our Team Ghatotkatcha
Weekend Breakfasts have to be lazy! Cafe Noir now has come up with a new concept of Lazy Breakfast Club. Tucked in the fourth floor of UB City, the sombre French ambiance is refreshing, with plain black, white and gray interiors. The Lazy Breakfast is curated in a wholesome and versatile manner. It includes the regular french delights, Parisian Breakfast and what not!
We started off with a Parisian Breakfast, it includes a hot beverage, Viennese, eggs, bacon, chicken sausage, hash browns, roast tomato and toast along with a fresh fruit juice. We began with a Hazlenut latte where it washed off the laziness with good hints of Hazlenut and perfection. A butter croissant with coffee is a good start. Well, the croissants here top notch, they uphold the name and awesomeness of Cafe Noir. Since I skipped the bacon, I ordered two kinds of eggs. One was scrambled, the other one was the Indian in me, the masala Omlette. Hash browns and baked beans are the regular fare. Chicken sausages are a must try and down this with a fresh watermelon juice.
A huge shout for the cinnamon french toast. The toast is so good, the fluffiness of the toast is perfect, I do not have words to describe such awesomeness, one of the best ever had. Cinnamon extract is not so strong and hence other ingredients have their presence. Maple syrup acts as a catalyst to heaven.
The Chef's signature is Mushroom and Eggs. This is the most loved dish by everyone. This turned out to be my favourite dish there just not because of I love Mushrooms and Eggs, but the proportion of what all are included. A croissant is cut in the middle, stuffed with button mushrooms which are tossed well with flavourful spices in olive oil. Then Eggs which are half boiled are added on top along with pesto. As Pheobe says, their Pesto is the besto.
They also have herbal teas, smoothies to try on the Lazy...

Cheese and wine, that's what a typical European cuisine is famous for. Especially the French food. And the USP of the review invite was both.
🧀🍷🥂🍄🥓🍗🍖🥖 Fine French wine ( you could choose from either red or white wine), along with melted Ralette cheese served with sauted veggies and cold cut meat pieces.
Not just the cheese was amazing it was one of the best Cheese I had ever. The taste was so rich and creamy, it was amazing to have it.
The sauted veggies were well done and the though could not have much of cold cut meat as I do not have pork and beef, they looked amazing.
🍜🍜 The chef also had prepared Sea Food Paila, the European take on Khichdi. Had it for first time. Though didn't like it much, it was definitely a great thing to taste for first time. It had these jumbo prawns thrown in. Personally I felt the prawn could have been better cooked as it seemed bit raw for my taste. But other guests seemed to enjoy that a lot.

The desserts were out of world. And was very much in line with what to expect from a typical French restaurant.
The chocolate eclairs, strawberry tart, orange tart, macaroons were amazing. They were rich, delicious and yummy to end the meal.
Most important was the warmth and hospitality of the owner Theirry and head chef Alexandre. The enriching conversation that we had and the exchange of cultural talks and his immense knowledge about food industry and his journey was the best part.
Thanks much to management for the invite. We surely enjoyed the variety and the spread. Though I didn't like few of dishes, more due to personal eating habits and unaware of few palettes, overall it was a nice experience on whole. For a foodie that experience was...
Read moreIf you like people watching as much as I do, this is the perfect spot. This is my go-to coffee place whenever i'm around the area. Though their outlet at the airport is what I frequent most this one is my second choice.
The staff are mostly courteous but sometimes lack efficiency sadly.
The food well I have tried too many to list each one so I'll just list out my favourites in most sections.
Drink : I obviously like the coffee here hence one of my main reasons to visit, the herbal teas are quite good as well and if you're here for a sundowner then you can't go wrong with the sangria.
Dessert: though i'm yet to be disappointed by any of their desserts I especially like their coffee eclair and fruit tart.
Main course: Their main course dishes though wide in verity, can be heavy on the pocket hence if i'm having lunch I prefer taking the lunch deal which includes main variations such as drink and main or salad, main, dessert etc and can be enough for two.
La Gratinee : really like the bechamel sauce and the perfect balance of veggies, a good vegetarian dish.
Lasagna: hard to find a good chicken Lasagna, they certainly do justice to the dish.
I have not really come here and had the breakfast but I have had their crepes several times pairing it with my coffee, I especially recommend the 'Williams crepe'.
Also a special mention to their Almond croissant.
All in all you can't really fail while visiting this cafe as most of their food is good and the wide verity helps satisfy any particular craving...
