Toxic culture around the pool table: My friends and myself are just novices when it comes to pool. So we were taking a wee bit longer to finish the game. The regulars were harassing us to finish our game quicker. Even before our first game they weren’t abiding with the name on the board system, trying to hog our chance to play, by saying if you are next you should stand near the table ready with the sticks. Bombarding us with a lot of unsaid rules, which a newcomer would be completely oblivious to. I get it, if you are good at something, you wouldn’t want newbies buzzing around your place of practice. But people can’t make a public space, their personal practice arena and get pissed when people just want to have fun with their friends. There was a lot of testosterone floating around the table but fortunately every guy in our group was secure enough about their masculinity so as to not get into any fights. Unfortunately the staff supported this bad behaviour of the regulars (completely understandable because they get sure-shot tips from them). But all this kinda ruined our evening no matter how much we tried to de escalate the hostility. My point is, if you want to cater to regulars, just allow them to book a time slot, where no newbie can disturb their sacred space. But if you want to create a democratic non-hostile space, please ask your staff to behave respectfully to all customers.

Read moreI recently visited The Biere Club in Bangalore and I must say, their brewed beer was the highlight of my visit. The taste of the beer was absolutely amazing and each variety of beer had a unique flavor that perfectly complemented the food. The brewery is clearly passionate about their craft, and it shows in the quality of the beer. It's definitely one of the best places in Bangalore to enjoy freshly brewed beer.
The non-veg platter was also quite delicious, with a range of chicken, fish, prawns, and lamb dishes to choose from. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the presentation of the platter was impressive. It's definitely a must-try for non-vegetarians who want to experience a burst of flavours on their taste buds.
On the downside, I did find the hospitality of the staff to be lacking at times. They seemed to be in a hurry to clear the table, which made the dining experience a bit rushed. However, this small downside did not detract from the overall experience.
In summary, The Biere Club is a great place and I would highly recommend this place for beer enthusiasts looking for a quality brew...
