Located on lavelle road, this place is a must visit to satisfy all those parsi style food cravings!!
One of the best places in bangalore to enjoy the typical mumbai style irani cafe flavours and vibes.
To begin with i visisted this place on a friday night and the place had bollywood old school music playing which was an instant mood lifter
The ambience is done so neatly potraying the life in mumbai with all those cycles and dabbas , let me not forget to mention the tables with glass tops and round chairs, along with a lot of parsi pun on the walls.
The place has recently introduced the bombay chat house - a new menu for exquisite chats all of it with a twist.
My recommendations would be
goat cheese pav bhaji: regular pav bhaji with a dash of goats cheese, also the pav was extremely fresh made in the inhouse bakery.
pani puri : bombay style pani puri served with piping hot ragada and seabuckthorn flavoured water. Seabuckthorn is an exotic Himalayan herb known for its high vitamin content.
ragada pattice: mumbai style pattice with a twist, the pattice is made up of raw banana insted of aloo , its served with a portion of ragada topped with sweet and spicy chutneys and curd.
bhel: made with cheeselings, crushes puris and puffed amarant(millet). It was perfectly tangy and spicy just like the ones available on the streets of mumbai.
Also along with the chats their cocktails are super amazing amd unique. My cocktail recommendations are
rustom bantawala: aam panna and vodka based served in a banta glass!
gin and chunky: peanut butter, gin, coffeeliquor served with a side of butter popcorn
raspberry soda: a mocktail which cant be missed here.
raspberry beer: beer+ raspberry concentrate(must try).
Note: A special shoutout Mr. Anish & Mr. Gopal for providing us a heart warming service.
Perfect vibes, amazing music and mindblowing cocktails made it an memorable friday night experience. Surely coming...
Read moreAn Iranian restaurant in Bengaluru that serves good Parsi cuisine. Went here on a recommendation from one of my friends who had tried their food from their outlet in Mumbai.
Food: We had a Raspberry Soda, Chicken Chelow Kebab, Mutton Koobideh Kebab, Mutton Berry Pulao, Paneer Khari Pizza, Eggs Kejriwal, and desserts: Jack Of All Roses (Valentine's Special), Lagan nu Custard, Baked Yoghurt Pudding, and Parsi Dairy Kulfi.
Chicken Chelow Kebab: Chelow Kebab being considered as the national dish of Iran, we had to try it. While it was good, it was missing the rice which is important because 'chelow' means "white rice". Apart from that, it is a fine kebab served with Iranian bread.
Mutton Koobideh Kebab: Similar to the Chicken Chelow Kebab made with mutton instead.
Mutton Berry Pulao: One of my favourite dishes here. A really delectable pulao made with mildly spicy boneless mutton with dry fruits and berries. Quite a sweet pulao with mildly spicy boneless pieces of mutton. A must try!
Khari Pizza: An interesting pizza that has its crust made out of puff-base like the one in an egg puff. It is best had when hot as the puff-crust doesn't taste great when it gets cold.
Jack of All Roses: It's a Valentine's Special dessert. A brilliant rose and almond cheesecake, if you're into rosy flavours, you might love this!
Lagan nu Custard: A custard that's not that sweet at all.
Baked Yoghurt Pudding: A caramel custard but this one is a yoghurt version.
Service: Friendly staff, good service. One other great thing is that they don't charge service charge at all! Very rare in a restaurant these days!
Ambience: Simple and nothing over-the-top. Can also get quite crowded. Reserve your table through EazyDiner (also has a discount at the time of writing this) or any other platform.
Overall, it was a satisfying experience. Do visit this place to try out Iranian cuisine! The only downside is that the food here is...
Read moreI would share the details as per the dishes we ordered:- Veg Dhansak- An avg dish which comes in a lunchbox for show, Basically has Gravy, Brown rice and onion salad, really avg feels like you are having some normal gravy and brown rice for around 525 Rs. Parsi Chicken fry- Why name it Parsi chicken basically it is kadhai chicken without gravy made on tawa for 595 Rs just enough for 2 people. Paneer atukuri sliders:- smelled a little odd, maybe old bread have been used. Veg galouti kabab: it was just okay as how it is supposed to be. Panner Makhani flatbread:- Unnecessary dish which we ordered thinking it is kind of naan but was a starter because of our server who made us think it is.
Coming to Service quality: When asked to servers for some flat bread, maybe kind of naan or roti or paratha, He manipulated us in buing paneer makhani bread which is of 525 Rs and not even a bread but a starter. After several times asking finally said they have wheat Parathas available but it was late to cancel the paneer makhani bread now.
This restaurant needs to tell its servers to be transparent in dealing and when asked for good dishes to be suggested then actually suggest good items not suggest only costly items.
The restaurant has gone old tables need to be repaired were moving while eating. All the servers were busy with ind- aus match rather than attending to guests properly even if there are few.
It is just a overhyped and expensive restaurant. We actually paid 2903 Rs just for a meal of 2 people. If the food was good, I would have not said expensive but the audacity to take such money for such food and experience from servers really bad.
Do clean your restaurant, needs repairs, training of staff and overhaul of...
