Bharath Hotel, formerly known as Bharath Tourist Home or BTH, Ernakulam, Cochin, Kochi, Kerala was established by Sri. B. Govinda Rao in 1964. The hotel has stuck to its traditional business of catering pure South Indian vegetarian cuisine but it has adapted to modern times, which is rightly reflected through the state of the art facilities. Bharath Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Kochi and has lived up to its name since its inception. Its convenient location makes it easy to access Subhash Park and Marine Drive where one can rest and enjoy the soothing atmosphere after a hectic day of work. The hotel is also at a walkable distance from DH Ground and Durbar Hall where exhibitions and fairs are held. The restaurants, Subhiksha and Kempu put out a delectable display of both North and South Indian dishes for the guests to savour.Eating at Kempu with a great view of Ernakulatthappan Temple will be a positive experience for clients. Unfortunately the above words are old story .😔😭.

You order as you enter and then wait for your token to come up. Many times the waiters served the food even without me requesting them to do so. The ambiance is good - a fusion of fast food and traditional Food is great and the specials usually end up tasting special indeed. Recommend the 'Bonda' and Onion Dosa. I would have given the place a 5 star rating. However the front counter and the kitchen counter guys are not at all customer friendly. Maybe the influence of time at BTH restaurant. Regardless I recommend Kempu for all...

I recently dined at BTH Kempu Restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the delectable South Indian cuisine on offer. The dosas and Chana batura were the highlights of my meal with my family.
The Rava dosa and Ghee roast at BTH Kempu were simply exceptional. Crispy on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside, they were served with a variety of flavorful chutneys and sambar.
The batura was fluffy and light. The flavors were well-balanced,but for me I personally prefer spicy food and here it was kinda bland.
The ambiance of the restaurant was comfortable, and the service was prompt...
