Magic Table's - Oregano Resto Café — Restaurant in Kerala

We had visited this place many times (Almost 10 times) sometimes back and we had very good experience. Thinking the same we were a bunch of friends went there last day, and I couldn't believe I visited the same place. It's pathetic now. I'm giving the 1 star just because of the service guy, who were all pleasant and technically can't review below that. We ordered sizzler and what we got is something totally different. Yeah the sizzler wooden base was there and smashed potato and the veggies. The beef tasted like marinated and just boiled, nothing like a sizzler. And we didn't understand the chicken taste, what was that???? Can you people please say, what is Sizzler??? I had it from different places, why we notice this dish if we are in a restaurant? Because It sizzles. Where were the sizzling in the food you gave us? No sear no hissing, no taste. Just because you serve it on a platter with accompaniment (leaves and potatoes) doesn't make a sizzler. We went there around 11.30, just 1 table were occupied. They took the order and everyone disappeared. We were just sitting there next one hour wondering what's happening. Nobody showed up or nobody was bothered to inform us the time it may take. I had to go and find out them in the kitchen later to ask when are we going to get it. Finally, we got the dishes after a good 1h20 min wait. When we told them about the low quality, they said the kitchen work is going on so preparing in a small kitchen, is there any difference in big kitchen sizzler and small kitchen sizzler? Then it should be there in the menu. I didn't understand the logic of kitchen size and taste. If you are unable to serve it close the thing for maintenance. Or else you should not take the order, serve what you can make in the so called small kitchen. And finally, when we said about the quality they offered us a discount of Rs.150, we very much know to Stand there and create a situation, but we wanted to have something before the other places close so we left. The 150 discount you gave for what? Compensation of spoiling our get together? Or because you were sure we get stomach upset very next day? Guess the food quality you served. I didn't notice the bill at that time or else I could have return that 150 immediately. We are ready to pay 20% extra. Serve good food. Or else don't take the order. Sometimes the gem we seek is right in front of our eye... I went to this place with minimal expectations with another person as a treat. Finding the place was bit difficult since it took two passes through the same place for me to find it. Since the boards are not illuminated ...and the place is bit inside.

When I reached there. I got a warm welcome by the waiter there and it was a pleasant surprise. He was a good person and his service was live and energetic. ( Fyi if you go there ..tip that guy ..). The food we ordered was a chicken sandwich (pic can be found below) and I will say it was worth it. Tasty and yummy and mildly warm food was a great. I have got coupon so I did got a discount there. But I could say it's little bit on the pricy side.

The place was on warm light ... Music was playing in the background.. it was a pretty great time I had there.
