Looks good from the outside, but a big letdown inside.
I was craving a good Kerala meal during my lunch break—especially some tasty Aviyal with white rice. I was on my way to Saravana Bhavan when I noticed a hoarding near Seematti Silks traffic signal. It looked promising and was convincing enough to change my plan.
The hotel is in a good spot, and although parking is tricky, the place looks neat from the outside. Inside, it’s clean and nicely arranged, which made me feel hopeful.

Read moreUpahaara is a vegetarian restaurant located near the Ernakulam boat jetty on Cannon Shed Road.
It is a small and unassuming restaurant, but the food is excellent.
We tried the Mysore masala dosa, idli set, and sambar vada. Each dish was delicious and well-prepared. The dosa was crispy and flavorful, the idlis were soft and fluffy, and the sambar vada was perfectly balanced.
The proprietor of the restaurant was very helpful and friendly. made sure that we were happy with our meal.
There is limited parking available at the restaurant, but there is also parking available on the roadside. I am not sure if there is a toilet facility at the restaurant. Overall, I had a great experience at Upahaara. The food was excellent, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious vegetarian meal...
