I recently booked a night stay at Millennium Continental Hotel Kochi, and I must say that my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted with a disappointing check-in process. The reception area was unattended, and we had to wait for approximately five minutes before the receptionist finally appeared.
During check-in, we provided our identity cards both in physical form and via email. However, the email containing our identity information did not reach them promptly. As a result, we were made to wait unnecessarily until they received the email. This delay was frustrating and could have been easily avoided with better communication or systems in place.
Furthermore, upon entering our room, we were dismayed to find that there was no soap provided in the bathroom. We immediately informed the reception about this oversight, expecting a swift resolution. However, instead of addressing the matter promptly, the receptionist sent a staff member with us to verify whether the soap was indeed missing. This action made us feel humiliated and gave the impression that we were being accused of lying about such a trivial issue.
It is worth mentioning that the soap in question cost a mere 5 Indian rupees, making the entire situation even more perplexing. The hotel's inability to promptly provide such a basic amenity and the unnecessary scrutiny only served to diminish our overall impression of their service. The telivision was not working even there is no battery in the remote, the airconditioner was pathetic
Aside from these particular issues, I found the general ambiance of the hotel to be average. The room itself was reasonably comfortable, and the facilities provided were in working order. However, the check-in process and the way our complaint was handled significantly overshadowed any positive aspects of our stay.
Considering the unsatisfactory check-in experience, the lack of attention to detail regarding amenities, and the uncomfortable situation we encountered, I cannot recommend Millennium Continental Hotel Kochi. It is my hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving their services for the benefit of future guests.
The check out time is 11 am nobody gonna give you prior information, the receptionist will call you stright after 11 and ask with frustrated voice when you gonna check out ? So make sure you check...
Read moreThe hotel is located within the city limits itself. The approach road which leads to the hotel is a bit narrow. The people who are arriving in big SUVs just keep in mind. The parking space is limited but I think the staffs will manage that. The hotel is easily accessible. We checked in late, with prior notice to the hotel, by 11:30 PM and the receptionist was really helpful who lead us to the room and did all the needful even at the late night. The rooms were nice (4/5) with amenities like TV, air conditioning, free wifi, 24 hrs front office support, kettle, drinking water, tea bags, etc! The washrooms and toilets were super clean and the toiletries and towels were provided. The towels and linens were properly washed, dry cleaned and was at perfect condition. Iron box was provided on special request. Some minimal maintenance jobs were noticed regarding the door locking issue which was negligible. Enough storage space was provided in the room including plenty of wardrobes and hangers.
I’ve booked 2 rooms via GoIbibo app on which the rate was ₹150 higher than the direct reservation. You won’t regret for the price which you are paying. Contact the hotel for the direct reservation price before booking it online, most probably it may be cheaper! All the employees starting from the security to the officer in charge was polite and friendly. The service offered was awesome. A worthy above average stay within the city limits of Kochi!
Sorry, I didn’t get time to capture photos to showcase the pictures of the well arranged and perfectly...
Read moreFirst I will list the problem with this hotel Rooms are extremely small Food is horribly bad
In reply the hotel says I did bot bought any food from them, I have a bill saying otherwise, despite whatever this hotel is saying I did bought food for dinner and I do have supporting documents (food bill) for that.
Its clear how inefficient the management is.
Stuffs are not well trained, had to ask for same thing over and over again Hotel runs on a skeleton crew. You need to wait for long time to get your luggage delivered or any other service.
Only decent thing about this hotel is breakfast buffet is okay.
We had booking for two rooms and we checked into hotel bit early and at reception they said they can give one room right away and can give another once it is ready, since we checked in early that is fair so we agreed. The room they gave had it's lock broken and no key was given to us, when we complained about that they said two other rooms will be provided at 12pm (which is there checkin time). Request seemed fair so didn't gave much though, around 12 when I came again to reception and asked for new rooms they said they can give only one room and that too on a different floor, since we were travelling a family, that is inconvenient for us. After long argument they said okay on same floor they will give another room and they will give key to the earlier room. That was our first day is Kerala and the experience we had this hotel was horrible. Will recommend not to stay...
