Burger King — Restaurant in Mumbai

I study in a college which is very close to the Burger King, Churchgate outlet. Sometimes after lectures are over, me and my friends decide to visit Burger King because of its pocket friendliness and the accessibility of this outlet. It is also just beside the railway station because we usually head home after a meal at Burger King. Compared to its competitors, I prefer Burger King because of its taste, quality and the strategic location of its branches which are closer to both my home and college. I also find a better value for money at Burger King. However in my time and again visits to the Churchgate branch has always ended up with kind of ‘meh’ experience. It is because the staff are not at all mindful and aren't cheerful as well. When Burger King first introduced the 2 for Rs. 80 Crispy Chicken combo, the staff at the time of billing were just not aware of it. This was despite the fact that the advertisement labels outside the restaurant promoted the said offer. After the person at the counter realised her mistake, she tried to dissolve the situation by saying that the offer would start from the following day. It left me highly disappointed that day. Coming to a more recent visit of mine, it’s still surprising to see that the staff not being mindful. There are more than enough staff working here however the person at the ordering/billing kiosk will sometimes randomly vanish (stop taking orders at the kiosk) to complete packaging of the pending orders instead of taking orders for the customers standing in queue. There is definitely a need for training of staff at this branch because the other branch closer to my home is much more efficient in this regards. Talking about the food taste, it is what you expect. The taste of the burger has remained consistent and I have been enjoying it as they are. The Crispy Chicken Burger is my all time favourite and as mentioned above, the 2 for Rs. 80 deal is too good to let go when I am feeling hungry. Also one does not have to worry about finding seating space as there is ample of space available at this outlet. There is indoor as well as outdoor seating options available. Customer service is very bad.

Today I went with my brother there in this outlet and order 2 portion of crispy chicken regular meal of 149 per portion but unfortunately from self ordering machine it has problem while paying from debit card and I paid through scanner that time it shows the bill.of 625.80 rs and I paid the bill , while bill printing from machine I saw it charged for 4 portion and same time I inform the lady who help me for making payment and she went to her manager . After she came I was shocked that her manager told to her they can't refund the money cause I paid already . Before paying that machine I punched for only 2 portion and whole bill print came I recognise it is for 4 portion and I inform the lady who help me and the food wasn't ready that time and the manager of that outlet didn't it as a serious issue cause the self ordering machine make mistake order and inform to them as well within 20 sec of getting bill print.

I m also from hospitality service and I know very well how to settle this problem as a manager. In every Qsr and all restaurant and even on five star or seven star property also can cancel the order or change order as customer request for me it was mistakenly order and i inform them to cancel 2portion which was mistake but they refuse and they told me to give food to beggers , in my experience ofbburger king service from Europe to India I never heard this kind of rude word to customer from staff . As a manager he have authority to solve customer problem and need to listen customer queries but he is not taking it is an issue and problem. I really disappointed by their service and inside sitting area was also very suffocated no ac was working . I dont know how they are doing their business in the heart of mumbai .
