Read moreVisited this place a week ago in the afternoon. Tried following items :
Keema fry: very good. Not too spicy and oily. They could increase the quantity served. Whole fried green chilly which is an essential ingredient of a keema fry was missing. They add tomatoes in this dish instead.
Egg sandwich: OK. Bread was not soft and the boiled egg was cold. At cafe excelsior, fort, no matter what time of the day you order this, the bread is always soft, the boiled egg is warm and one gets more than a hint of crushed black pepper in the sandwich which is enjoyable.
Brun muska with Chai: superb. The brun was perfectly crisp, was buttered adequately and the accompanying tea was milky, freshly made and contained right amount of sugar.
Enjoyable dining experience. Menu has fairly large number of items. Ambience is good, large windows & lots of natural light in the restaurant during day time. Wait staff is soft spoken and genuinely eager to serve customers.
Only cons are - they accept upi payments but the qr code is not visible/pasted anywhere in the restaurant. At least i didn't see it. The counter manager could be a little helpful. After I had gpayd my bill and asked for change for tipping he flatly refused saying change nahi Hai. I had to exit...
Read moreOn my Mumbai trip, I visited the restaurant Stadium Restaurant in Mumbai near the Churchgate station. The ambience of the place hits different. It is a small place, but the food and service, which I found, were good. All the chicken lovers, i.e., mainly Parsi people, eat there regularly. On looking around, I see people are having no food. Thus, I looked at the menu card, and the menu is large. They serve many items like chicken, mutton, sandwiches, rice, dessert, eggs, Chinese food and snacks. I ordered fried rice and a veg cheese sandwich. But the staff told me that veg sandwiches are not available. Thus, I ordered a chicken sandwich in place of a veg sandwich. Then after seeing the menu, I find that I have to mention grilling because there is a different charge for grilling. Thus, waiting for 10 minutes, the order came. Veg fried rice was good in taste and quantity. For the first time I was eating a chicken sandwich, but the taste of the chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious. Staff was helpful. But the thing is they don't have a washroom. They maintain cleanliness, and the atmosphere is quiet. My experience of this place was good. for the next time I wished to eat their special items. Must...
