GUYS BE AWARE!! I am a regular here as I live nearby and have always admired this place for the draft beer, low prices and the way they have managed to keep the old vibes alive despite a lot of temptation to modernize. Mostly I visit this place for the draft beer.
However recently I discovered something shocking. The staff had a half filled pitcher of beer in the fridge (God knows how old) and tried to fill it up and give it to me when I ordered a pitcher. When I objected, they gave me a new one. This happened again a few weeks back (they have an open kitchen, everything they do is visible, they know the customer can see what they are doing but see the audacity!) This time I complained to the owner who, instead of firing the staff or even pouring the stale pitcher out, tried to assure me tht it was freshly poured just sometime ago (I wonder why they freshly and deliberately filled just half a pitcher then put it in the fridge)
Now just when I thought I can still forgive them, just yesterday.. I found a staff picking up a customers used glass from the opposite table and filling it up without washing it, this time I again complained to the owner who then again tells me to lower my voice bcz other customers will hear!
GUESS WHAT, CUSTOMERS SHOULD HERE THIS !
Inspite of being in the restaurant business and after me repeatedly complaining the owner doesn't seem to understand the importance of basic hygiene and how necessary it is to teach his staff simple cleaniilnes when COVID is still fresh in our minds.
SERVING CHEAP BEER DOESNT GIVE YOU THE LISENCE TO PLAY WITH CUSTOMERS HEALTH AND HYGIENE.
my request to everyone visiting here, yes this place is is good for a quick drink, well located and good vibes but plz be aware of who is pouring you a beer and in what glass, and if you're being served a stale one. Better just order for bottles.
I had high regards for the owner and this place, but I am very disappointed by the behaviour of their staff and owner. Very unprofessional and...
Read moreIf it could be described for those of you looking for a one -liner it has the 1970s charm. Take yourself back to a time and place that was slower and more intentional. When you think you have had to get away from the working life it becomes that the mirrors are symbols that show up and do not hesitate to amplify your experience. It is not just the variety and care of the beer that is on offer it is the fact that you will be able to combat the courage inside of you. Once you see that there is no stopping it you will be able to understand why such a curiosity resides amongst the modern crowd of buildings and overpriced places that are mainly to do with neoliberalism being on its last legs of defeat.
Anyway once you have a couple drinks here you will forget about anything to do with that and you will surely enjoy. It is quiet and serene broken only by the passerby that is sure to inquire if they could enter and have themselves entertained. The main attraction is how you get to be in an atmosphere that is ambient and lowkey but without the busyness of everyday.
So you think you can get a better idea from pictures than a review that's. . also fine. But there thing is you might want to understand why this place carries their selection rather than being beholden to the ability of carrying whatever else there is out there. We can understand this by the fact that it is always going to be a present fact without the intervention of that which is considered most unlikely.
Unlikeness. Unlikeness.
That being the keyword one should always understand that the service can be improved.
It should do justice to the legacy of the place as a drinking house where their is nostalgia and modernism in equal measure. It is not enough to sell you the tagline but they must be able to convince you that you were at the right place at...
