Let's understand the background of the area which is around the Beer Cafe.

The Beer Cafe is located at The Cambata Building, an iconic edifice in Mumbai's Churchgate area, is a testament to the city's rich architectural heritage. Designed by architect Shorabji Bhedwar, this Art Deco masterpiece was completed in 1938 and has since been a landmark in the city's cultural landscape. The building is perhaps best known for housing the Eros Cinema, a theater that has been a hub for film enthusiasts since its inception. The cinema's distinctive design and historical significance have made it a subject of interest for both locals and tourists alike.

Situated opposite the bustling Churchgate station, the Cambata Building is at the heart of a vibrant neighborhood. The area is a blend of commercial and cultural spaces, with the historic Eros Cinema sharing its vicinity with modern establishments like The Beer Café. This juxtaposition of the old and the new offers visitors a unique experience, allowing them to appreciate Mumbai's evolving urban landscape.

The Beer Café, located within the Cambata Building, is part of a chain that has rapidly expanded since its inception in 2012. Founded by Rahul Singh, the café was conceptualized to cater to India's growing appetite for diverse beer options. With over 40 outlets nationwide, The Beer Café has established itself as a go-to destination for beer enthusiasts, offering an extensive selection of brews in a casual and inviting setting.

The menu at The Beer Café is a harmonious blend of global and local flavors. Patrons can indulge in a variety of beers sourced from around the world, complemented by a selection of dishes that cater to diverse palates. Signature offerings like beer-battered fish and chips and chicken bruschetta are among the top picks, providing a delightful culinary experience that pairs perfectly with the extensive beer menu.

The café attracts a diverse clientele, from young professionals seeking a relaxed after-work hangout to tourists exploring the city's vibrant nightlife. Its proximity to cultural landmarks like Eros Cinema makes it a convenient spot for moviegoers looking to unwind before or after a show. The lively atmosphere is further enhanced by regular live sports screenings and music, creating a dynamic environment that appeals to a wide audience.

Evenings, especially on weekends, are the best times to visit The Beer Café. The ambiance during these hours is particularly vibrant, with patrons enjoying the energetic vibe complemented by curated music playlists. Whether you're a beer connoisseur or simply looking for a lively spot to socialize, The Beer Café offers a welcoming environment that captures the essence of Mumbai's dynamic social scene.

I did not like the way the staff behaved with me here!!

Service taxes are not mandatory irrespective of what you display and is upto the customers to pay it but the behaviour of the staff was very rude and as per the gst we are ok to pay but service charges PAN India is optional and all restaurants so far have agreed when we have asked about it!!

They started telling that we have conveyed and all that but the only thing the waiter conveyed us was that it’s 15% tax which is ok for Ac based but they did not mention that 10% is SERVICE TAX AT ALLLLL!!!!!!!

And when we asked about service tax both waiter and manager of the restaurant behaved rudely with us making us feel why we even visited this!!

When you pay cgst and sgst it’s understandable that you are paying tax to govt but I strictly do not agree to the service charges posted by them on the customer, if they have behaved calmly with us we would have agreed but they behaved rudely and there was too much attitude in what they spoke

If you are really ok paying nearly 500₹ as service tax, then you can visit else you can blindly skip this place with no regrets!!

In my personal view I wouldn’t recommend you to visit this place at all after what I faced🙂

Also if you are reading this, the mail id in the...

I went there yesterday (10th Jan 2019) with 7 of my friends during lunch time. We ordered beers and chicken wings there. We were not even done with the lunch but was close to it, they came to us 4-5 times to settle the bills then I said Ok, bring the bill to us and we will pay. But they refused to give us the bill stating the reason that machine is not working and asked one of us to come to the counter to pay the bill and they were in hurry. They didn't want to save the bill or print the bill but they wanted to settle the bill because they had written there in the computer and worrying that they have to make the bill for the next customer. After some discussion we agreed to pay the bill and gave them credit/debit card to pay the bill but again they refused to take it and asked us pay in cash of about rs 5088, again we had some argument and but since we did not want to create a scene there and also some of my friends had to catch the train so we somehow managed and paid the cash.

This is the situation of some big cafe like this in Mumbai who will do whatever it takes to encourage black money and don't pay taxes to the government. Can someone please tell me how to escalate this matter further to relevant authorities of government and Income...

We were 4 people to visit here almost during dinner time. Not much Crowded and the Top Floor was not in use that day. Ambience was Ok. Not much crowded as we got our seat immediately. Staff was very polite. Nice options for Food. We took both Veg n Non-Veg. 1. French Fries - Crispy and Tasty 2. The Veg Platter (it having Crunchy Dahi Rolls, Shammi Kabab, Onion Rings, Paneer Tikka) - Dahi Kabab was really nice, nice filled and crispy. Shammi Kabab was really good having with Green Chatni and Mayo. Onion Rings seemed a bit bland but with Mayo and Green Chatni tasted very nice. Paneer Tikka was tasty, soft and nicely marinated. 3. Chicken Wings Platter (12 Chicken Wings - BBQ, Chilli Garlic, Peri Peri Sauce) - All the 3 types were very very tasty and Juicy. I personally liked the BBQ. Drinks option are Nice. 1. JimBeam 2. Sangria Red Wine 3. Hard Cider Ale - Hill Station Himalayan Apple (Berry Twist) 4. Fruit Punch (Mocktail)
