Cafe Shaheen — Restaurant in Mumbai

If there was a rating of zero stars I will give it as a genuine rating for them!! Worst and disgusting place ...with no hospitality at all..rather rowdy behavior and different techniques of fooling people. I went with my friend and had ordered for a quick and light omelette & a omelette sandwich with add on cheese in it.. So firstly the omelette came with good amount of "oil" not cheese... accompanied by a hard burnt omelette piece on the side as if served to a dog...and with no added vegges nothing not even a slice or dice of onion! barely a pinch of salt I think, now when asked to the people who seemed like running the place, he answers so rudely & being rowdy that it is supposed to be told first to add! Then came the egg omelette sandwich with cheese as asked but surprisingly no omelette in it...then when informed the old rude grumpy waiter says it has in it when he is the one who misplaced the order..let's keep this aside, but when he took the dish inside to add the omelette what was observed that the omelette came but this disgusting person adds the omelette with his bare dirty hands and brings it to us....now when we ask the bill they give us a hand written small chit with RS. 65 for the sandwich & RS. 40 for the omelette where both seem to be of zero value! I wished that I had a physical proof to show or to post but after experiencing such a disgusting behavior with no hospitality I felt like leaving the place asap..they might call you by prompting or by catching your eye but it is just a nightmare in the name of...

Here the Kheema dish is famous with the Pav, to eat that you have to reach here before 1pm,otherwise U will miss it, I ordéred chicken chilly fried rice with the gravy✌️after watching the gravy I asked the Waiter,for 2pav,he said ,Sir,pav katam ho gaya, then I said after watching the front person's table,he was eating tandoori roti,lavishly, toh mujhe bhi majbooran Tandoori roti order karna pada,I Ate 1 roti,it was nice light soft and bit kurkuree and hot👍 felt nice I ordered one more,🎉and lastly tea💪 As I wasn't having Cash so before entering I requested that,at the Counter,that Do they accept Google pay or Phone pay, He asked, Why, I said,I don't have Cash so that's why. He said Ok,🙏 Lastly When the waiter came with the bill, I said bring the Scanner to pay,through Google pay. He said,it's not allowed U have to pay cash,otherwise it will be deducted from my salary, Thanks,💖that before entering I cleared the payment part,💪 The waiter said,please pay at the counter,so it gave him a small tip,and I moved towards the counter👍there he had kept that scanner secretly hidden inside the table,he showed to me,I scanned it and the tour was over🌴 So what I want to say is, whenever U don't have Cash and feel hungry, if U don't see any Stickers or the Scanner machine,as such ,then please before ordering do ask the countr person or the waiter that Googlepay or Phonepay is allowed or not then move...

Back in 2008, I was traveling to my hometown Patna and had few hours between connecting trains at VT station. July heat & absence of Pantry car in my journey from Bangalore to Bombay meant I was famished. Outside VT, A gentleman suggested this place and it was 8-10 mins walk.

It was one of the most delicious and memorable food I've had, so memorable that I remember it till date and writing review after 17+ years. Remember ordering one chicken with green gravy (Jahangiri ?), another chicken item & Butter naan - hands down, remains of the most tasty, incredible meal I have had.

Few years later in 2013, My father used to travel to Bombay for treatment. On his return journey, He had early dinner around 6 PM and was waiting for train at VT. I insisted and ran to get food for him, mother & since they already had dinner/were insisting not to get food as they were full - I took Roti lesser than what they would usually eat. Handed them the food, train left and Father calls me an hour later while his train was near Kalyan - 'Why are you stingy and got less chapatis' as food was so delicious that he wanted to eat more. My father isn't around us anymore but Just so glad that he liked the food I got him from Cafe Sheheen.

I definitely hope to eat at your place sometime in future. Hope you thrive and continue to feed the delicious, incredible food you've been...
