I really wish there could have been an option for Zero rating... As me & my husband have faced very disappointing situation yesterday with the staff of Sujata Hotel (Dadar).... *No value to the customers. *Fake staff members with no assurity of food availability. *Only concern about their own image. *First priority to the online deliveries.., & making wait for long to the people waiting for parcels.
Me & my husband went to Sujata hotel for the first time for the dinner date before marriage.. & so as it was our 3rd marriage anniversary, my husband planned a surprise for me to take at Sujata hotel for dinner (to cherish few old memories)... As my husband had to complete his office work due to his very important presentation the next morning and so he left late from the office (from Mumbai Central) & myself coming all the way from Chembur... It was 10.20pm when my husband himself went to Sujata Hotel to check "till what time is it open, I am coming back within 10mins" & the person sitting on the reception answered "yes we are open & you can come. " Whereas my husband picked me from Dadar Station and we reached there by 10.30pm. The guy sitting on the reception stopped us and said we are about to close now - "abb band karne ka time ho gaya nahi baith sakte aap log" (On website it is mentioned - closes at 11.30pm) & infact there were families who were sitting there.... Even my husband remind him that I just came 10mins ago and confirmed with you and even the another person standing next to you was present that time too. But both the staff members denied that we were not there who answered you, although whenever me n my husband have visited Sujata hotel.. the same two people only have been there on the reception everytime. And when I said them to check with the staff members, who gave the confirmation to my husband they were just staring each other & the guy sitting on the reception said that "we have no items left now, everything is finished." They were even least concerned to check with the staff members, as they both were denying & it clearly seemed to be nothing but a fake acting. Instead of denying the confirmation part later with such a fake acting..., the moment when my husband went to check with them, they should have checked about the food availability & then answered atleast. It was totally waste of time, waste of energy to travel & getting disappointed. Although its month of Shraavan, me and my husband had to search for some other pure Veg restaurant that would be hardly available late night. Our anniversary got ruined & for sure will never visit Sujata Hotel again ever. Staff members are so very...
Read moreLong before the vegetarian-only restaurants with bars became a craze or gained popularity like today, Sujata Annexe was one of the few representatives of this genre.
It is a much preferred ADDA for my school buddies to meet-up. A majority of us are vegetarians & teetotalers and only one loves the tipple & gorges on non-vegetarian fare, hence the poor guy has to compromise.
Since it’s a Bar, the lighting is dim and ambience is nothing great.
Sujata serves Punjabi & Chinese cuisine with a huge list of varieties.
Our favourites among them being Spring Roll, Cheese Pakoda, Hara Bhara Kebab.
They serve a starter called Kurkure Cheese kebab. It is made of grated cottage cheese mixed with finely chopped onions, coriander and green chillies. This mixture is then sandwiched between two slices of cheese, this is then covered by a thin coating of boiled potato and rolled in bread crumbs and then toasted on a tava.
It is a very innovative dish, tastes amazing and is very filling. They serve 5 huge pieces to a plate and takes away your appetite for a main course.
Spring Roll is a conventional and indigenously devised dish. But Sujata makes it so very yummy that is one of their most popular dishes.
I did try their Singapore Noodles but could not make out the difference the regular Hakka noodles and Singapore noodles except that it a couple of pieces of fried cashew nuts. It was very oily and bland in taste.
Their service is pretty decent and don’t pile upon you. They suggest only if you ask.
It’s a good place for vegetarians and those who love a drink with their food.
Food Quality – 3.5/5 Food Quantity – 4/5 Ambience – 3/5 Service –...

Sujata hotel is located near shivaji park. They have different types of delicacies. From Dadar station it's just 15 min walking distance. There is no place for car parking, bike you can park near restaurant.
Proper address :- saraswati mahal building, shop no 1&2 Ground floor, Gokhale road, dadar West (near merwans).
Sujata is popular for their masala papad, pav bhaji and paneer kolhapur. You can try they veg crispy and Schezwan fried rice. So as soon as you enter the restaurant you see simple and peaceful ambience.
As soon as the sanitization process we quickly order paneer chilli, which 2-3 people can easily have it and it's good to go as starter. Big paneer dice deep fried and toss in gravy garnished with spring onions. Paneer was crispy and soft and the masala gravy was bit spicy but taste was good. 4/5
Next we order paneer handi which was good to go with tandoori roti. but quantity wise it was less as compared to price. good for 2 people paneer was soft and and juicy with rich gravy add with butter. 4/5
My paneer craving forced me to order paneer pulav😂 Which was a good decision atleast this time handi was little bit big good for 2 people. Pulav with peas and other veggie full of flavours and bit spicy topped with cute paneer cubes which was deep fried. 4/5
So this was my experience with Sujata hotel overall :-...
