Getting authentic kerala food is bit of trouble as though you may get many eateries citing an authentic servings not many actually are close to authentic when tasted, However here you can have close to authentic experience. About the place, its bit in interiors and not on road so fetching may be difficult. Landmark is the small south indian temple and bank to its right. Parking can be done at your own risk as its in a interior bay . Shop has two levels. Normally crowded at afternoon, you may have to wait at times. Rest its fine. You may not say it as plus and heavily decorated eatery however its a decent interiored place like we normally have in kerala Seats are fine normally made with seating for 4 , tables are wide so its comfortable It has air conditioned portion at level 2. You may find difficult to have an handicapped placement as there is no dedicated provision for it. Waiters and captains are aware about food and they have mallu speaking staff too so you also speak in malayalam , bonus :) It usually takes a bit of time to get your order as it remains bit crowded. For non mallu crowd , dont wry the have general crowd too so you will be comfortable About food. They serve both vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The menu is too big. No alcohol is served here. Reservations are not accepted . Take away and parcel items are provided. All kinds fish, chicken, duck, mutton items are served here. Have heard that fish and mutton items usually taste good here. Malabar dum briryani, fish biriyani, chicken items, fish and chicken are freshly prepared. Its really affordable and correctly price and will surely not make a whole in your pocket. The best part to be here is having a traditional mallu feast on a banana leaf, and this is what i hunt for always. On week days you get a normal feast and on sundays you get a special fest. Only diffrence is to having addition 4 vegetable preparations and sweet kheer. And special part its unlimited . And most imp issue while many people have that its get too heavy to have this food as not all are use to having tradition unpolished rice which is normally served in fest so to EASY OUT they can alternatively serve you normal polished rise too which can help you eat it easily. All vegetable preparation and chutney pickles and servings taste close to authentic so its definately a must try if you haven't been here. ( uploading pics for your reference)
You have branded organic omega rick good quality packed ice cream available here check it out I have tried faluda its really good.
So in case anytime you wish to have any authentic mallu preparations or fest for you or your family . its surely recommended.
Note if you trying for feast ensure its only in afternoon 12 to 4pm In evening you get all south snacks and dinner items at alcarte basis and no...

🔹Kerala special veg thali (Sadhya)🔹 Sadhya thali is a traditional and elaborate meal from Kerala, South India, that is typically served during festive occasions and special celebrations. It is a vegetarian feast that consists of a variety of dishes served on a banana leaf, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of Kerala. The rice is typically accompanied by parippu (dal), sambar (a lentil and vegetable stew), rasam (a tangy soup), and a variety of vegetable curries. The thali also includes several side dishes such as avial (a mixed vegetable preparation cooked in coconut gravy), olan (a white gourd and coconut stew), thoran (stir-fried vegetables with coconut), and pachadi (a yogurt-based dish with vegetables or fruits), Parotha or rotis. HIghlight was the Mango based curry which had a hint or rawness and sweetness to it.
Whether you are a vegetarian or simply appreciate the flavors and diversity of Indian cuisine, experiencing a sadhya thali is a must when visiting Taste of Kerala

Read moreA very popular restaurant specialising in Kerala dishes, especially non vegetarian. As a strict vegetarian , I am unable to comment on the quality of their non vegetarian dishes. But my own relatives and friends vouch for them. I had on May 10, 2019 visited it to enjoy the unlimited vegetarian lunch served on banana leaf, for Rs.170 plus 5% GST. The restaurant's recipes are claimed to have the "taste of Malabar". To my disappointment, the dishes of my meal lacked the taste of any region of Kerala. The brown rice was good. The sambar did not have any resemblance to any regional recipe of Kerala. It could be called a chena ( sooran / yam) sambar, for four cubes of yam was the only vegetable I got in two servings of sambar. It did not have the essential vegetables like pumpkin, ash gourd, okra, brinjal and onion. The thick gravy had a slightly sour and bitter taste. It was not sambar, but something else based on a unique recipe of the restaurant. "Aviyal" was passable, but again had an overdose of yam. So was the case of the "Koottu" curry, with too much of yam and too little of other essential vegetables. The pickles were good. The less said about the dry okra dish, the better. The okras were too coarse, fibrous and hard. Chewing them was an exercise for the jaws. The ash gourd "Olan" was watery. Two "pegs" each of sour Rasam, Payasam and butter milk were served. Of the three, Payasam was passable. But without the crushed shallots, ginger, chillies and curry leaves in it, the buttermilk did not have the taste of Kerala. The restaurant, again, operates in a "sellers market", at a prime locality. I wonder if that has contributed to the lack of taste of Kerala that I experienced, and whether the experience is limited to...
