I had ordered through swiggy..I had ordered quite a lot of items from Mahesh lunch home...almost 2 weeks back....I was waiting from many years to order from this place as we wanted authentic Mangalorean food...we love Mangalorean food and this was supposed to be the best place..the food I received was very bad ...few items were chicken dish...all were bad... the worst one was something like leftover pasta sauce white ,with 1/4 kilo sugar added in the sauce and lots of ripped pieces of chicken which again a leftover from other dish, all mixed together and made a dish...it was so bad I could not have more than one spoon...next was some boiled chicken pieces in leftover pavbhaji masala mix...very bad....next was sukka chicken... it was not the typical sukka chicken that most Mangaloreans do . that was also not good...neer dosa was like maida dosa..the rest forget..it spoiled our mood so much that we not only didn't enjoy our lunch, we were hungry but couldn't eat it..we wasted our money on these expensive items ....we gave away the entire thing to some poor people hoping at least they will eat the chicken pieces..for 2 weeks our appetite had gone... didn't feel good.. stomach was aching...I don't know whether that food actually tastes like this only in the hotel also because I have not eaten there but had heard great reviews....either the swiggy delivery fellow got it exchanged and sent the bad ones to us and kept the good food for themselves...I even gave him 5 star rating since he asked me to rate him...he kept waiting at the door and told me check all the contents again and again..he said check karo andar packet mein sab theek hai na..koi jaldi nahi aaram se check karo...so I thought he is showing so much concern as well as give good rating and I had already tipped him online...so I don't know who is the culprit.... packaging was not good as there was no containers..all in foil pouch...and dosa, roti peeping out of the foil covers ...all this in small brown paper cover..which was moist because of the rain...no where Mahesh lunch home was mentioned..no tissue paper s of MLH....that's it...we didn't have a good experience...left...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at ",Mahesh Lunch Home" and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting ambiance of the restaurant. The décor was elegant yet cozy, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable dining experience.

The service at "Saffron Spice" was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that every need was met. Their genuine hospitality made me feel welcomed and appreciated throughout the meal.

Now, let's talk about the food – it was simply outstanding. Each dish was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chef. From the fragrant biryanis to the creamy curries and the crisp, freshly baked naan bread, every bite was a delight for the taste buds. The ingredients were of the highest quality, and you could taste the care and attention to detail in every dish.

One dish that particularly stood out was the butter chicken – it was creamy, rich, and packed with flavor, perfectly complemented by the fluffy basmati rice. The balance of spices was impeccable, creating a harmony of flavors that left me craving more.

To top it all off, the dessert selection at "Saffron Spice" was heavenly. I indulged in the decadent mango kulfi, which was the perfect ending to an exquisite meal.

Overall, my experience at "S ahesh Lunch Homeeded all expectations. It's clear that the team behind this restaurant is passionate about delivering exceptional food and service, and I can't wait to return for another culinary adventure. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, I highly recommend "Mahesh...

The branch that I visited is in the Fort area however there are several other branches you can visit, the place is famous for its non-veg and specialised in Sea food 🐠 famously known as "Mahesh Lunch Home".

It's a bit pricey 💰 in terms of non veg food but if you need the quality and the quantity, I think this is what the price will look like in the majority of good places. It's purely a family🤱🧑‍🍼 dining restaurant you can also visit with your group of friends 👯🧑‍🤝‍🧑. There is no loud music 🎶 but alcohol is served (Class cocktails as well), the tables are too compact so if you speak 🗣️ loud 📢 your neighbour might hear your conversation.

The staff🧑‍💼 service is amazing, just like any old school restaurant you will find the manager🤵 and waiter in proper dress 🧥 and knowing their Menu (I really like it when manager/staff knows about the food in the menu). They will give you wet tissue in case you need it or at the end you can go for that bowl further they have the hand wash area.

The food that we tried was the Squid 🦑, Crab 🦀 soup 🍲, Prawns Biryani everything was amazing. I'll not suggest anything and I will let you all explore the menu. All the fish 🐟 and sea food items will be fresh so you need not to think that much although price may vary.

Overall, it's a must visit place for non-vegetarians and especially the sea...

Mahesh is one of the best place to have seafood. The place is extensively huge. Their service will definetly pamper you like a small baby with his/her mother. Each and every dish I tried where outstanding. Do try the Crab soup it tastes alike the sweetcorn although crab meat differentiates it. For starters Prawns Koliwada(Highly recommended) one of the best prawns I tried out till date. Chicken lolipop - comes with 6 crispy pieces. Although prawns stealth the show away. For mains we tried Pomfret tandoori (jumbo) which cost ₹1800. The pricing may defer due to price as per catch. The Butter chicken 😍(Must must try) Oh goodness brings water to my mouth whenever I recall Mahesh's butter chicken. One of the finest butter chicken to have in town. Quantity is huge I had taken half but seemed to me as a huge portion. Half would be enough for 4 people. I tried it along butter garlic, tandoori and neer dosa. For those of you who aren't aware what neer dosa is it's a rice chapati. The server asked me to try the new Neer dosa which is a speciality, not available everywhere. I personally loved the neer dosa. The staff is highly well trained & dedicated to serve customers.

Visited on a Thursday and due to mobility issues , requested to sit in the GF. The GF was claustrophobic with closely placed chairs and no ventilation. We ordered Prawn Koliwada ( Regular ) : 5/5. We got around 10 pieces and loved the big juicy prawns. Neer Dosa 1 set - 5/5 comes with 4 pieces, tasted nice. Would have expected to the order taker person to explain it to us on the number of pieces. He didn't even bother to explain and just added it. Appam 1 set - 3/5. Comes with 3 pieces again no info on the quantity was given. Very average appams and wasn't soft or hot. We ate only 2, but paid for 3. Pomfret Gassi ( Boneless) -4.5/5. Had some small pieces of 8. Taste was good. Expected a little more fish for the cost. We had 2 drinks, Champagne Cocktail and Mimosa 3/5. both are passable and wasn't very enjoyable given the claustrophobic experience. We made reservation via Eazy Diner and was given free dessert which they honoroed. Payasam was terrible -0/5. Gulab jamun was soft and tasted yummy 5/5. Overall, good experience and will definitely visit again. They can definitely improve on the dining experience and not add items without explaining.
