A Culinary Journey at Kylin Experience, Aerocity
Kylin has long been synonymous with exquisite Pan-Asian dining, and as it celebrates 20 years of excellence, I couldn’t think of a better time to visit its Aerocity outlet. Located inside The Walk, Worldmark 2, New Delhi, this space exudes a blend of tradition and modernity—just like the brand itself.
Over the years, Kylin has evolved while maintaining its rich legacy. What started as a single outlet in Delhi has now grown into a culinary empire, pioneering Asian dining in India with eight outlets across six cities. The brand has stayed relevant by refreshing its spaces, introducing innovative dishes, and ensuring every dining experience feels fresh and exciting.
The Kylin Experience
Stepping into Kylin Experience at Aerocity, I was immediately drawn to its contemporary yet warm ambience. The setting was perfect for a leisurely meal, and I couldn’t wait to dive into the menu.
Here’s what I tried:
Teriyaki Chicken Roll
This sushi roll was an absolute delight. The grilled teriyaki chicken paired with crispy quinoa created a beautiful contrast in texture, while the teriyaki sauce and ponzu mayo added depth to each bite.
Chicken Gyoza (Pan Grilled) Dimsums
A classic dish that never disappoints! The gyoza had a crisp golden base with a juicy, flavourful chicken filling inside. Served with a tangy dipping sauce, these were the perfect start to the meal.
Kung Pao Chicken
Bold, spicy, and packed with umami, the Kung Pao Chicken was a well-balanced dish with the right mix of crunch and heat. The peanuts and dried chillies added an extra layer of texture and spice, making it a standout.
Spicy Korean Kimchi Ramen Bowl
A hearty, soul-warming dish, this ramen bowl had a rich kimchi broth that brought out the perfect balance of spice and tang. The noodles were perfectly cooked, while the additions of broccoli, shimeji mushrooms, bok choy, and a soft-boiled egg made this an indulgent treat.
Bibimbap Bowl (Chicken/Pork)
This Korean-style rice bowl was a wholesome mix of julienned vegetables, protein, and Korean sauce, topped with a fried egg. It was both comforting and flavourful, showcasing Kylin’s commitment to authenticity.
Tonkotsu Ramen
A must-try for ramen lovers! This dish featured a creamy, umami-rich broth with perfectly cooked noodles. The slow-cooked tonkotsu broth had deep, bold flavours that made every spoonful satisfying.
Two Decades of Culinary Innovation
Kylin’s ability to blend heritage with modernity is what keeps it at the forefront of the industry. Known for its signature dishes like Chilli Oil Dim Sums and Hot Stone Bowls, it also keeps up with evolving palates by introducing contemporary favourites like Veg Tempura Sushi. The brand’s emphasis on its bar program has also been a game-changer, offering creative cocktails that enhance the overall dining experience.
Looking Ahead: Expansion & Growth
As Kylin marks its 20th anniversary, the journey is far from over. The brand is set to expand with four new outlets in Noida, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Gurgaon in 2025, further cementing its legacy in the Pan-Asian dining space.
With two decades of excellence behind it and an exciting future ahead, Kylin remains a benchmark for exceptional Asian cuisine in India. My visit to Kylin Experience at Aerocity was a testament to the brand’s dedication to quality, innovation, and hospitality. Whether you’re a long-time patron or a first-time visitor, Kylin is a place where every meal turns into a cherished memory.

Read moreThe Kylin Experience, literally the place is itself an experience once in a lifetime, if you love Japanese cuisine. Recently because of Covid situation, there is a big buzz going because of which people are avoiding to eat outside food. I won't say all of them are wrong, but the places like The Kylin Experience is making you feel comfortable to dine out in places like Aerocity. This place is located at a very posh area in Aerocity, Worldmark 2 and can easily be located. The best part I loved about Kylin Experience is hygiene standards which they are giving to utmost priority. The staffs are wearing masks, gloves, proper temperature check is there, even they are checking Aarogya Setu app and completely sanitizing all the tables and chairs. Totally loved this part as this helped me out to feel relax and chill over there.
The Kylin Experience has been well known in Aerocity from a long time, although it was my first visit here. The place is definitely not going to let you down, be it in terms of food, ambiance, lights, sounds or service. The place is also having an outside area, which is decorated really well. Infact, whole ambiance is itself a good tour. These people are also selling some of the Kylin spices so that a person can try to prepare the homely food in Kylin way. I got to know about this beautiful place from my friend so had to visit. The place like I said is pretty amazing, especially if you are a Japanese food lover and love sushi. Special mention @rohit, one of the staffs over there who is very sweet, really helped us out to choose our dishes and took proper care of hygiene standards. The price of each and every dishes are quite genuine. You are definitely going to find a good crowd here.
Like I said earlier, this place is heart for Japanese cuisine lovers in Aerocity. In starters I had their Veg Clear Soup, Truffle Enoki Tempura roll, Veg Tempura roll with crunchy spinach, spicy salmon roll and prawn tempura roll. In the main course we had, Tofu Hot stone bowl. In the beverage and drinks had their Jasmine Tea pot and Green apple cider, Aromatic Citrus Fizz respectively. In the desserts had their Date roll with vanilla ice-cream, roasted Almond Cake.
All I can say is this is one of the few places in Delhi NCR which is close to my heart right now. Totally loved each and every dish over here. From starters to drinks and desserts, almost everything is superb here. I am definitely going to visit this place again. Highly...
Read moreWhile the food was satisfying, our experience with one of the female staff members was pathetic. I wish I had caught her name — she was a short woman with a ponytail and stood out for her visibly rude behaviour and disinterest in her job.
Even before I arrived, my friend mentioned she had been rude while taking the order. Once I got there, her behavior made it obvious she didn’t want to be serving. She was curt, dismissive, and made us feel unwelcome. At one point, while placing a plate of sauce, her hand came so close to my face that I had to lean away uncomfortably.
What made things worse was her passive-aggressive attitude after we ordered alcohol. She kept glancing at our table in a way that felt unnecessarily judgmental. When I asked about a particular wine, she dismissed it saying it wasn’t available and not even on the menu — only for me to point it out to her on the menu myself. She went to check and returned saying, “Oh yes, it is available.”
It was clear from her body language and tone that she wasn’t interested in doing her job. We told the manager to assign a different server, hoping to quietly resolve the issue. Instead of taking a step back, she returned shortly after and confronted me directly, saying, “If you have a problem with me, you could’ve told me instead of speaking to the manager.”
Being in the service industry demands a certain level of professionalism and politeness, regardless of one’s personal mood — and unfortunately, that was completely missing.
To their credit, the manager did offer a 10% discount when we declined to pay the staff contribution/service charge, and we tipped the other staff member who served us.
Service plays a huge role in dining out, and this incident definitely affected our overall experience. A disappointing experience that overshadowed what could’ve been a...
