Sananda Coffee & Food — Restaurant in Bali

I came here some months ago and had an amazing smoothie bowl, that I still think about, so I decided to take my boyfriend here as well some days ago. The pasta I ordered was fine, but the fried chicken of my boyfriend's sandwich was tasting weird..judging by the color of the meat, it was not cooked well. We ordered some bruschetta because we were still hungry, it tasted horribly. As Italian, I never thought I would be possible to make bruschetta wrong...there was no oil or garlic in the tomatoes, and on the bread they but a cheese that they list on the menu as "parmesan" but I can assure you it's not. It was melted and had a really strong taste I can't associate to a specific cheese, but definitely not parmesan, and it made the bruschetta...

Last night in Bali and we chose this place based on the great reviews. Oh we were so wrong. The place was dead quiet compared to all their neighbors. Ordered our meals - Beef tenderloin. It turned out to be a badly cooked piece of tough beef flank. I couldn’t eat it. Beef burger. Looked to be a very white meat burnt to a crisp. Not beef in my view. Pizza - was pretty sub-average ingredients on a flat, boring base. Ribs - again pretty average and nothing to write home about. Complained and only a ‘sorry sir’. Very disappointing end to a fabulous time and many great meals in Ubud. Oh, and don’t forget the thousands of tiny bug eggs under the glass of the table we ate at - eewww! Go elsewhere folks, crap food. Plenty of better...

Ordered the big breakfast, which is literally a joke. There's nothing big about that.

They offer it normally with sausage and bacon, as I am vegetarian, I asked for more vegetables like sauted mushrooms and fried tomatos.

What I got was a tiny portion of mushrooms and 2 pieces of tomatoes topped with parmesan.

The rest of it are hashbrowns (in reality, one piece of rösti) and avocoda slices (3-4) pls 2 pieces of small sourdough bread.

The whole dish reminds me of french novelle cuisine (tiny portions), and again, nothing big about it.

By the way, on top of that, the mushrooms and Omelet were served cold.

All of that for 78.000 Rs., totally overpriced for what you get.
