Natys Bar & Grill Ubud — Restaurant in Bali

On my morning walk, I discovered Naty’s Bar & Grill, a delightful new restaurant next to Coco Mart in Ubud. There has always been a restaurant in this spot, but this is a new one. I thought I’d try it out. I had a wonderful Papaya smoothy and an egg and salmon bagel with a side salad. That was THE best salmon I have had in Ubud.! Chef Pujana is amazingly talented and the staff is nice and friendly. I cannot wait to go back for another meal.

UPDATE - Next visit on 3/4/2025

I met Chef Komang Puja during my first visit. He promised to make a special meal for me next time. So three weeks later, last night, I brought my son and daughter-in-law to Natys for his special meal. He made two different salmon and beef dishes that were out of this world delicious. I enjoyed myself so much that I forgot to take a picture. :(. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the presentation was as professional as any 5 star fancy high dollar restaurant but without the high dollar. I will be back...

I was just in Natys in the coco market Ubud and had a nappy emergency with my 2-year-old daughter so asked for the wifi code to get a taxi back to the hotel and sort it, as I only have WhatsApp. The employee told me that because I hadn't ordered anything yet I was not a customer and I could not have the wifi code. I explained the situation and he didn't care. So I asked if he could call me a taxi and he said he couldn't. So I asked for any help and was met with no care. I can't believe that a company that prides itself on customer service and building good relationships could and would have such inhumane policies and attitudes towards customers. Shame on you. Visited Natsys mainly for its wonderful location from the first floor you get a lovely view of the lanes of Ubud. The vibe of this place is really nice, with a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were warm and attentive, offering excellent service throughout.

We went for the steak and grill special, trying both the beef steak and mixed salmon grill. While the presentation was good and the effort appreciated, the dishes were unfortunately not as flavorful or tender as expected. Both turned out a bit dry and chewy, which was surprising considering their premium pricing.
