Dough Darlings Ubud — Restaurant in Bali

We stopped by Dough Darlings in Ubud after brunch nearby to grab some donuts as a treat for the whole family. There was no line when we arrived, and we decided to order 9 donuts by combining a box of 6 and a box of 3. While the selection was a bit limited — it looked like they were running low — there were still a few different flavours to choose from.

The donuts themselves were soft, fresh, and tasty — nothing particularly unique, but definitely solid.

That said, the experience was a bit frustrating. After paying, we had to wait around 15–20 minutes for our donuts to be packed into boxes. It was a bit confusing, as there were two staff members handling it, one of whom seemed unsure of what was going on. We asked a few times if everything was okay, and were told it was — but it really shouldn’t take that long to box up donuts.

Overall, while the donuts were good, the service at this location left a lot to be desired. Not sure we’d return to this...

Some of the best vegan donuts ever! Dough Darlings is a conveniently located store in Ubud that serves some really amazing treats for plant lovers. I ordered 50 vegan donuts for my birthday and the team was able to create the order in four different flavors. The selection was absolutely amazing and all my friends really enjoyed the donuts. The team here is super amazing and full of some of the warmest smiles. They are super helpful and accommodating to all guests. The coffee is also amazing. I had a vegan almond milk latte and it was divine. The coffee was perfectly roasted and cooked without burning the beans. My friend had the green juice. It was also excellent. The location is really nice. It’s right across the street from the back entrance of the Yoga Barn. You will love this hidden gem right in Ubud. Come get some delicious treats and coffee!! good vibes only...

The doughnuts were wonderfully soft and the flavours I chose were good too - my favourites were the lime & mint and blueberry & lime 🍋‍🟩 the other flavours were not really to my liking but this is totally about personal preference:-) the staff are kind lovely and quick always serving with a smile and a ready Selamat Pagi or good morning! I plan to buy some boxes of doughnuts here for my teachers and the staff at our guest house. The quality is good and they have boxes you can use to say thank you to the many staff who serve holiday makers! The inside of the place is small and better suited as a takeaway rather than a dine in cafe experience but then again, it is doughnuts, so meant to be a quick bite. There are seats inside though if you so choose to eat there.
