Brasserie at Alaya — Restaurant in Pulau Bali

Indonesian style restaurant in Ubud, Petani restaurant is inhouse resturant of Alaya Ubud... I love the satay 👌 & lovely ambience too.

Located around Ubud the most crowded spot (it's like walking distance from Monkey Forest), Alaya Ubud as much like her new sister Hotel Alaya Kuta are the best 4 stars Hotels, which probably you will found fully booked, I don’t stayed there actually but have a little glimpse to what I saw; the room, the spa, the pool and the restaurant, no questions about it.

The restaurant also very famous among reviewers who listed them as the best restaurant to try in Ubud, and that I was doing. I was tried to review one by one menu, but I think I failed lol. The point is Petani Restaurant with their tagline “Taste of Indonesia” can be true because I like the curry, satay (with three different types of meat; prawn, chicken and beef) so much. If you are in total hungry, try Jimbaran Style Grilled Salmon? I was failed on finishing it, because as you saw on the picture that you will get 2 thick salmon portions of meat with carbohydrates around them, interesting textures and taste from its tomatoes and I believe it was edamame beans.

But their signature is the one and only Nasi Raja!

The restaurant located next to reception of Alaya Ubud, but it’s definitely open for public. Designed in very old rustic style European furniture with details of Indonesian batik, which front area exposed to the street while at the back is to the rice field that very Ubud. A very nice place to have lunch or an afternoon chill with some drinks, and is there any better idea than have a plate of spring roll and a scoop of ice cream to close the session at Petani Restaurant? and it's very affordable!

If you are looking for a delicious meal, this is the place to eat in Ubud. The breakfast service is the perfect way to start the day, they have a wide range of options and well made barista coffee with alternative milk options. The dinner menu is extensive. We really wanted to try mie goreng, and even though it wasn’t on the menu the chef made it for us, it was delicious! The cocktails at happy hour are the perfect way to end the day. The thing that really made our meals here special was the impeccable service. Ari, Ketut, Lisyana and Okta made the effort to remember our names every morning and always greeted us with a warm smile. We had such a lovely dinner at our hotel’s restaurant! We both ordered the steak sandwich on focaccia bread , honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and so fresh.

The atmosphere was amazing, especially with the live band playing. It really added to the vibe and made the evening extra special. Highly recommend coming here when the band is playing, usually on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The service was just as great. Everyone was super friendly and took the time to chat with us. Our waitress Semi was wonderful, warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome.
