SAGITARIUS INN & RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Bali

Wasn't the most enjoyable experience for my young family, First day the room was up 2 sets of stairs with very uncomfortable bed and very unclean shower and a bath that didn't work. The back of the air conditioner had no run off hose and located at the top of the stair case coursing my son to slip over several times and my partner to slip and get quite serious injury to the back of her leg resulting in purple brushing the size of my hand.

They change my room reluctantly, to where the bed was even worse and the monkeys chased my son and were within a foot of biting him on the rear of hes leg, the staff where no where to help.

A group of about 15 Staff members told my 5 year old son who is on the spectrum to put his head in the large amount of rain water gushing from the roof, while they laughed and continued to encourage and record him. I quickly grabbed my son and told the staff it was not acceptable, one of the men recording denied, when he finally showed me the top of his camera roll, I saw photos and videos of the situation, He reluctantly deleted them, but in that moment I generally feared for my sons health and safety in the place we were ment to call home...

My co worker checked into his room. Called to see if it was OK and the response was not good. This is from a person who does not complain. There is no bottled water provided in the room. You have to have your own bottle, go to the lobby and refill your bottle. That sounds like fun for making coffee or tea in the morning. I thought the picture below, of the ripped sheet, that the sheet was brown. No, the sheets and pillow cases are so old you can tell that they have been in that hotel for an extremely long time as the white has completely faded. Yes, the pillow case was ripped as well. When I went to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager, no I am not a Karen, about these horrible conditions for basic hotel service in Bali, I was told she was off property. I asked who was in charge and there is nobody taking responsibility. I expressed my concerns to the employee and he snickered as if this is the normal. This is at 4:30 in the evening, the room had not been touched since the morning as in No housekeeping at all. They have, what appears to me, an “ I don’t care” attitude. I haven’t even mention the piles of stuff you walk past to get...

Un inferno.

Ingresso: Partendo dall’ingresso, che sembra quello di un’officina piuttosto che di un resort: si accede da un vicolo angusto e buio, con una serranda chiusa di sfondo e dei motorini malmessi ad accogliervi. Tutto sembra andare per il meglio quando, una volta capito di essere sulla strada giusta, si apre la vista sul cortile che porta alla reception. Gli esterni sono effettivamente bellissimi, giardini curati con piscina annessa, vegetazione abbondante, fiori e camere esternamente bellissime da vedere.

Check-In: Alla reception al momento del check-in non c’era nessuno ad accoglierci, senza aspettare troppo tempo è uscito un ragazzo, che ci ha detto che era in pausa pranzo. Non abbiamo dato molto peso alla cosa, e dopo una breve introduzione ci hanno presentato la nostra camera, la 22.

Camera: Da quel momento in poi ci sono venuti i brividi. La muffa che infestava gran parte dei muri interni era di colore scurissimo, abbiamo perfino pensato che si potesse trattare della famigerata “Muffa Nera”, formazione micotica pericolosissima, tuttavia rimaniamo con il dubbio. Le lenzuola e le federe di cuscini avevano delle macchie ed erano bucate, nonché umide da far ribrezzo, sembrava di dormire quasi sul bagnato. La puzza di chiuso e di umido all'interno della camera era forte e vista l’impossibilità di far areare la stanza attraverso le finestre e la porta a causa di scimmie e insetti, siamo stati costretti a respirarcela. Il bagno era sporco, aloni marroni nella vasca, lavandino difettoso che fa uscire solo acqua bollente, sostegno per accappatoio spaccato, tendina piena di macchie di muffa…un orrore.

Personale: Il personale, come tutto il popolo indonesiano, è gentilissimo, e quasi dispiace andare alla reception a lamentarsi di qualcosa. Tuttavia, il secondo giorno hanno fatto le pulizie, poi per tre giorni consecutivi non le hanno fatte. Quando ci siamo lamentati hanno detto che dovevamo richiederle prima…mai sentito nulla di simile. Il servizio di pulizia lascia molto a desiderare, nessun cambio di lenzuola o federe, se non lo chiedete espressamente vi rifanno il letto con la stessa biancheria del giorno prima e ve ne accorgete da quanto sono sporche e umide. I pavimenti non sono mai stati lavati per una settimana intera. Gli asciugamani puliti vanno chiesti al personale, ma ne riceverete solo uno per ogni ospite, ho provato a chiederne di più ma mi hanno quasi riso in faccia.

Conclusioni: Non siamo dei principi, siamo persone che vivono di lavoro e sanno accontentarsi, non pretendiamo il mondo da un due stelle, ma quantomeno ci aspettiamo di trovare condizioni igieniche dignitose. Dopo una settimana a respirare muffa mi ritrovo con sintomi allergici molto fastidiosi. Per una settimana abbiamo respirato le spore della muffa e anche dicendo di essere allergici non ci hanno cambiati di stanza, affermando di essere pieni. Peccato perchè parlando con altri ospiti abbiamo capito che alcune camere non soffrono di tutti i problemi che abbiamo elencato, in più come già detto, gli esterni sono veramente bellissimi e il prezzo è più che onesto. Nel complesso potrebbe essere un ottimo hotel ma prima dovrebbe risolvere dei problemi semplici ma fondamentali.
