Wanted to try them but never got the chance because there were always long lines in the Ashta branch. Surprised they opened one here.
The pastries and cakes are great. Very tasty and rich in ingredients. They are good.
However, presentation is also important, especially for pastries. There are some croissants that were such in bad shape that it was embarrassing to look at. Also, the staff might need to be trained in handling them. Some of their stuff are quite soft, and taking them out with a tong means youâll be getting an out of shape pastry. Worse, I saw the staff put one back for sale when a customer in front of me refused the pastry that has been grabbed a bit too tight with a tong.
They also donât seem to have an experience in packing these pastries nicely. One of the staff still asked me if I want to pack one of the cakes separately. That shouldnât be a question, the staff should know how much stuff can be put inside their own boxes. In my box, I already had a croissant put sideways so it could fit. Itâs a no brainer that another cake should be boxed separately.
So great product, but embarrassing presentation. For the price, I highly suggest the management/owner to have better training in aesthetics and presentation. Donât just treat your own pastries like...
Read morePleasant food, pleasant coffee, WORST experience.
I came for a dessert, asked for a table with an electric plugs, and they showed me a place where the plugs was on the other side of the table, under someone elseâs table. I asked to be moved to another table by another waiter and they helped me with that. But when I was just about to finish my dessert (have not finished my egg tart let alone my coffee, geez!) the waiter asked me to move to another seat because apparently the table was reserved for a big group. There was not a single sign that the table was reserved. I was still eating and drinking. It was not nice for them to ask a person to move while they are having their food and drinks. Furthermore, it was not my fault that they have an error in their system about which table was reserved, which was available.
I lost my appetite immediately. If you want me gone and serve that big bring-me-the-money group, oh sure Iâll be gone WITH PLEASURE.
It has never happened to me before in ANY restaurant. Think twice before coming here, there are better place to have your dessert, especially when the seats are...
Read moreAlways crowded, but was fortunate to be seated directly. They have two stories; seatings on the first are quite limited. Well decorated. Tried their: Escargot & Mushroom Fricassee (105k): generous portion. the fricassee is creamy and well seasoned, however the escargot & mushroom themselves, not really. They pair it with prawn crackers (which is kinda unique), but they are rather blandâdo not enhance anything imo. Mie Ayam Croissant (38k): the croissant is great, they put crisped noodle on top, and the chicken inside. To me, the chicken tasted like those in old-school roti ayam. Avocado Float (55k): best! they use real avocado, and the juice itself is thicccc. Not too sweet, as I suppose the sweetness comes only from the ice cream. It is also paired with a shot of espresso (separated, not directly combined). Perfect! Iced Americano (45k): just typical. Mine was rather acidic. Didn't ask what type of beans they were using, though. Soft Serve Ice Cream: it really tasted like the White Rabbit candy lol
Price is typical for cafes...
