Eight Treasures Plaza Indonesia 八宝精品火锅店 — Restaurant in Jakarta

The food was alright. Soup base comes in an individual pot, at IDR58k onwards. You may share the soup base, and given the size of the pot, perhaps two persons can share one pot of soup base (if you don’t mind but i find it not really hygienic). They do charge IDR 30,000 per person for the person who share the soup base. There’s a selection of soup base in the menu.

We ordered one portion of fresh Iberico pork, a platter of 8-piece dumplings - fish, chicken, pork and pork with vegetables, a platter of mushroom with vegetable, potatoe noodles, and a portion of fried fish skin. Iberico pork was good, and the fried fish skin was tasty. Dumplings was alright. Potato noodles was a bit too chewy for me, not my type of noodles.

We had them with two different soup bases: coconut soup and herbal soup. Coconut soup was good, but the herbal soup base was just onl salty taste, but there wasn’t any herbal taste.

We had warm plain water.

There’s a selection of condiments served, and it is charged in your bill.

Ambiance is nicely decorated with Chinese interior. (Now the festive season, it is with Christmas decoration) Air conditioning temperature was a bit too cold. Toilet is located outside the restaurant, think usually that would be the case with restaurant in a mall.

In my new addiction to hotpot, I decided to try another hotpot place, which is Eight Treasures. They serves contemporary chinese steamboat. I ordered 2 types of their soup which are Nourishing Cartilage Soup and Herbal Chicken Soup. Unlike other hotpot restaurants, they served their soup base in individual pot. I also ordered beef, pork, la mian, and assorted dumplings medium portion where you guys gonna get 2 of each Fresh Prawn Wanton, Fish Dumpling, Prawn & Pork Chives Dumpling, and Vegetable & Pork Wanton. I totally recommend their Nourishing Cartilage Soup, meat, and Assorted Dumplings. Don't forget to create your style of sauce to be enjoyed with the hotpot 🥰. We ordered 2 kind of soups. The pork pepper soup and collagen soup. The Pork Pepper is my fave.

It was my first visit here, but my brother 2nd visit. So he ordered the ones that were suitable for us. 6 of us, with 2 children.

I should say that the meatballs were fresh and delicious. Pork, beef and fish meatballs. Pork Wonton is a must try! The beef slices were also nice. Fresh vegetables they served.

The oolong tea was also very nice. I thought it was just ordinary tea, but it was not!
